Not a 2007 BMW 328xi cpe
Yup, this is my snowmobile.
1st and 2nd pic have electrical tape on flairs to see what they would look like in black. I don't like them, I might look into matte gray like the ones on the Raptor. |

I prefer them in Black to their current state. Might help if you also painted the bumper cap in Black as well to tie it all up.

Interesting about those crash ratings.
I don't like the black flairs- it makes the wheel wells look bigger and tires smaller. I agree the mat grey might help, or maybe even slightly larger flairs. Now need to stay in on 'Snow Days'. |

Those ratings are for a stock f150 though and it doesn't have extended cab doors on both sides, it only has an extended cab door in the passenger side (makes me think that it is more structurally rigid). My truck has a little bit of a lift from the tires. Still pretty scary though. I think I'll turn my 328xi into a completely daily driver now. I wonder if a bull bar tied to the frame would help. I first got interested in this when browsing my local "U" Pull junkyard with my son. The ones with biohazard stickers on them give me the creeps. Older GM vans don't fare better. http://www.iihs.org/ratings/rating.aspx?id=67 http://www.iihs.org/ratings/rating.aspx?id=66 I will not own a vehicle that doesn't do well in crash testing. Fortunately all BMW's do because they care about it and alway have. |
