2009 BMW M3  [0.00]
So I sold my 2013 F30 in favor of a 2009 M3

I’m an analytical, smart with my money, non-risk taker kind of guy. Logically, this move makes no sense at all.
My CPO F30 had another year of warranty. The M3 has 19k miles and looks pretty much brand new but has no warranty.
I owned a 135i before the F30, and an E36 M3 before that. I missed the way those cars drove and felt. I lowered the F30 on Bilstien coil overs thinking I would put some of the “BMW” back into it, but it just never felt right. I never got used to the electronic steering. I’ve driven other newer BMWs including an F80 comp package, but the E92 M3 is the best feeling, sounding, driving car I’ve ever owned. It feels like a proper BMW and what BMW used to be.
After one month of ownership, I want to keep this car forever (or until it starts falling apart).

Welcome Dizzy, and congratulations - what a smart move! A classic M3V8 with 19k miles, from the pictures the car looks like bloody new, wow. (proper garage queen as it seems, till now!).

Cheers

That front bumper looks amazing with the reflectors shaved and splitters molded! Congrats on the purchase, that is a looker!

Looks like a minter, well bought! What suspension is it on? Very well taken photographs, looks lowered to my eye.

Have a look around the classifieds and get an MPE on there!

To put your mind at ease, look at it this way... your F30 was depreciating much faster than this E92 M3 probably will. F30s are a dime a dozen and they will be worth nothing eventually. The M3 will hold it's value much longer + you'll enjoy it for far longer.

Congrats on the new whip

You made the right choice for sure! Congrats!

There is a thread somewhere on here where members were discussing the car you bought and how that front bumper came to look like that. It would be funny if you ran into that thread.

The bumper is aftermarket. IND I believe. I just put on 15mm spacers up front. I'll be doing the OEM exhaust mod or a Megan. Other than that, the car is completely stock and it'll (probably) stay that way.

I was shocked to find out much the F30 had depreciated.

You must be talking about the thread I started before I bought the car.

Thanks guys.

Just to be clear, if it's IND; they take a stock (euro) bumper and stock splitters and mold and paint them. Suppose "aftermarket" technically applies, but they're stock parts.

Personally I think it looks great on cars where CF contrasts too much (white, silver IMHO).

Prime example. Excellent find !! Congrats.

Is the front OEM splitter molded in to the bumper? Pretty unique and it blends well.

Congrats! There is absolutely NOTHING about a F30 that outshines any E9X, even a 323i.

Welcome to the forum! What a beautiful car!!

I have two E9X M3s and continually think about how to get a third one! They are wonderful cars, so far there's nothing I've driven that I've preferred!

Enjoy it in good health!!

Welcome!
Car looks super clean, I'd add LCI tails to your list of upgrades. They really update the look of the rear imo.
