Report: Ashton Kutcher finalizing deal to replace Charlie Sheen

Ashton Kutcher is putting the finishing touches on a deal to replace Charlie Sheen on CBS' "Two and a Half Men," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

While the exact details of the deal are not yet known, THR quotes an individual close to the negotiations as saying the agreement will result in a "huge payday" for Kutcher. (Sheen was reportedly making $1.8 million per episode.)

Representatives for production studio Warner Bros. TV, network CBS, as well as Kutcher's agent and publicists, would not confirm the deal to TheWrap.

Series executive producer Chuck Lorre has reportedly already crafted a storyline that will work "Punk'd" star Kutcher into the series and, according to one THR source, "It's really funny. People are going to love it."

Sheen was fired from the series in March after engaging in increasingly bizarre behavior, and is currently suing Lorre and Warner Bros. TV for $100 million over the termination.

A number of names have been tossed around as possible replacements since Sheen's ouster. Most recently, "About a Boy" actor Hugh Grant was offered the part. Grant reportedly dropped out due to creative differences, though the fact that he was offered well under $1 million an episode might also have had something to do with his reluctance.

If he joins this show... I give him 6 months after the first episode before he gets a divorce from his 50 year old wife.

Sure, they can work Kutcher into the story, but how do you take Sheen out of it? I mean, the other characters live in his house!
