Got u. Ive heard the best way to do it is powdercoating them. That cost anywhere between 350 and 400. Other option is painting but not as durable.

if done properly, it is very durable!
they have to be prepped properly (sanding) and painted properly as well.

this body shop has done many cars, some are 2-3 years old + and still look like new...no peeling!

So what do you think? red or black for my ride?

I say red. A nice glossy red. Our stock brakes already come red, and to just redo them in black and glossy is pointless I think. Done right, red will look incredible, especially with ur wheels, but if they r not done right, they can look very ricy. Im pretty sure tho wherever ur getting it done will do a top notch job. Go with red.

I assume you meant our stock brakes are black.

But I wouldn't just do them gloss black, it would be gloss black with the M stickers which I think (MOSTLY on the front calipers) will make them look a lot better! The rears I am still iffy about because they are so damn small and ugly!

Yeah sorry, I meant black lol.

Well, I just did mine today and they came out really good. The back r painted but dont have stickers and I think i will put the decals on so it gives them some "dressing". What size decals is everyone getting for the back?

What kind of paint are you guys using? Are the decals not going to fall at high temps? The paint on my stock front calipers cracked and parts of it fell of at the track.

Yes, I'm serious. Things got pretty hot. This season, I'm going to apply temp sensitive paint to see how hot things are getting exactly.

I know many of you have gotten ur decals from xenon mods without any probelms. I dont know if any of you havent. As I mentioned before I never got mine which is why I had a local shop make them for me. Anyway just wanted to let u guys know that after I finally was able to get in touch with them (very hard to since they never replied to a few of my emails) I explained to them the story and they replied by saying since its been about 2 months since I placed my order its not their problem anymore, im shit out of luck. LOL I could care less I wasnt even saying I wanted them anymore or my money since it was only 20 bucks and I had gotten them from somewhere else already, but i feel like the way they went about it was histerical. had they said i will ship them out i would have replied by saying its ok since I have them already and dont even bother to do a charge back since its not really serious. Thats not how they went about it tho, and its even funnier since they see I sent them the payment and it would probably cost them 2bucks to make and reship those decals. I mean WTF would I lie about not receiving them lol.

lol

I was thinking the same thing

check out my current M6's calipers...

BUT I think the new M5 caliper "///M" sticker is too small for the size of the caliper... just my opinion

I would go for maybe "BMW" over "///M"

I just think if you don't have a BBK, then leave them OEM w/out stickers.
