Ive used Chaotic Exhaust in Wakefield on previous cars, never had an issue. This time around I'll be spending the $$$ on an Exhaust.

Yeah...I'm thinking about Dinan. I need to listed to a lot more exhaust sound clips.

How much did they charge you to modify the can?

Idk exact cost for that but I can tell you that i only paid $400 to have cats resonators and mufflers removed.

I'm most likely going with a valvetronic, just dont know who yet, maybe Armytrix.

One thing to note is they don't mandrel bend at least I never requested it, just to give you a heads up if you're looking for that.

I just need them to cut open the can, remove the insulation, remove the perforated pipes and weld in straight pipes. Seal it back up. Done.

They no longer fabricate, but referred me to Mota Racing in Peabody who will perform the muffler operation.

I was told it was going to cost more than $500 for the 4 pipe mod so I passed.

A Megan is $535. Not sure whether this is E90 or 92.

I have run one on my E90 for a few years. It’s a little clouded than I want from 1000-2500, but my x pipe contributes to that.

How did the Megan sound pre x pipe. I've heard very good things about the Megan set up.

I never ran it pre-x-pipe. Had the x-pipe first.

RayTeam In Waltham has experience doing this. And I highly doubt they’ll try to charge you $500.

I am temporarily running the Megan with the stock midpipe. It sounds good. A little livelier than stock.

^^^why temporarily? I've been running the Megan now for about a month and love how it sounds and looks. I find that it's a lot louder than stock. Only thing I don't like about it is the drone around 2k.

I got mine done at Eurotech Motorsports in Natick MA. I did the 2-pipe mod which resulted in just the right amount of increase in volume for me.
