Alpine DCT Install Options

Hello all,

A bit confused on the alpinemss website and what to purchase for a DCT tune.
Under the BMW tab i see two options (coding or transmission tuning).

In the transmission tuning you can purchase E9X M3 GTS Flash for $150 (+$50 for cable), or in the coding section you can purchase E Chassis Remote Coding for $80 (+$50 for cable / +$80 for M3 GTS DCT Flash).

What is the difference between these, self-install or remote coding i'd assume?

Additionally, are these both just for windows computers still?

If you contact Alpine they can send a Mac compatible file. You’ll just need to run Windows on your MacBook. It comes with detailed instructions.

Thanks for the info, I’m guessing this is referring to a self install?

The $80 option is in combination with the engine tune, while $150 if DCT only. If that was the question?
