Absolutely no risk, it holds the double without any problem and i had put some supports under the motor mounts for security.

This is not necessarily the case for some cheap engine support bars.

But it's not a kind of job i like...

An hour ahead of us... and if we made the throttle actuators

Revs were hesitant at cold start, it was not smooth
The actuator of left bank one was made in 2021 but the right one was of 2007 origin

Customer advices in dealership when there is a problem on a known (wear) part...
Then it's good to unmount/remove everything 2 times, a support of the engine harness broken elsewhere and repaired for the occasion

I'll give big slaps to the funny ones who work like pigs...

Long story short, order at Rebuild on 24/05 at 14h, delivered on 25/05 at 13h30 (that's some serious guys!)

Mounted, tested with ISTA, restarted and perfect, smooth and fluid revs and more nervous regime

The beast is Alive!!

After 3 months of work a little night drive to celebrate it

Well everything was fine until the moment when the connecting rod n ° 3 decide to throw out the engine block and missed a braking that followed to finish it in an oak 😂..

joking apart from everything is OK , apart from the oil level sensor that takes its time to calculate the level, maybe one day it will get there, it purrs and sounds good, no more lights, messages, noises,

it starts to be at my standards to follow we will be able to start the serious things now 😎😈

Tell us about your choice. What final drive ring and pinion gear ratio and type of LSD unit did you decide to go with?

Very nice. I hope it came with instructions. Especially for setting the ring and pinion gear tooth backlash.

A "little" meet with a rabbit by night on twisty roads with a little speed

One front bumper and some other damages

Speed is evil as we often say in France... But that's another debate... then repair

Insect Graveyard

Close up look of custom undertray plate

Other damages

Repair, plastics welding

Adjusted according to the manufacturer's recommendations

US look, so nice but we can't drive without licence plate support in ECE...

How is the rabbit? I hear they make for tasty pies - at least in the U.K.

I love this thread. Extremely well done build and refresh. Fabulous, amazing DIY build. Tres bon! Thanks for the update and all the great photos. It looks like roads in the South of France? Gorgeous. How does the super sprint exhaust sound? How are you liking the driftflo diff with the drexler 60/40 LSD unit? Great job recovering the leather seats. That looks difficult. Well done.

Yes south of France, South Alps near Italy and Pyrenees near Spain, "My" game territory and where l'm living, perfect place for M driving spirit

The SuperSprint Race F1 full exhaust system is gorgeous and perfect for this car, relatively quiet at cruising speeds and full singing at WOT, in canyons it's epic.

The LimitedSlip driftflo differential with the 4.1 final drive is perfect also, the driving experience is greatly improved, when lifting the pedal at the entrance of the curve or at full throttle at the exit it's imperial, great work by Florian

The leather seat refurbishment is not so difficult if you are methodical and organized but it's à 30 hours job per seat

I've always wanted to make my perfect M3 and this time I think I'm not far from getting there... well according to my personal wishes
