Got the car back from Haury's in Seattle. Freshly repaired carbon roof, refinished wheels in Gloss black, black M3 badging, and fresh rubber around the front and rear of the windshield.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The car is feeling refreshed on the exterior now just fixing up the interior carbon trim and it will be all set for miles of enjoyment. Still waiting on 1. IND Roundels. 2. Carbon interior trim 3. musicarNW sound system & Carplay

Got my carbon fiber trim from Mashimarho. Less than Thrilled with the quality but it looks a lot better than the cracked-up previous trim. Going to discuss with Mashimarho the quality

Carbon trim back to Mashimarho for quality fixes.
In the meantime been trading between the M3 and RS from storage. A bit of a rare sight for me to see both together. ![]() ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() Revisiting my plans for the car to see how I am doing compared to the original plan
Almost finished up with the car, just a few odds and ends to complete. I'd like to do a 2-pipe mod or OEM+ catback replacement. Took the car on a good 200-mile drive today through the WA backroads. What a great car! The Frozen Silver edition is such a great mix of stealthy and specialness. (FYKYK)

My wife was out of town, so I street-parked the GTI and had my fun cars on hand for a week.
I got the rest of my parts from IND and Mashimarho. The car is dialed in nicely. I am pondering about painting the wheels in frozen silver or something other than black. If anyone has suggestions, feel free to share. I don't particularly appreciate how the black wheels hide all the details of the comp wheels. ![]()

Thank you!
I recently decided to buy AutoTecknic E9X M3 Aero Splitters from IND. Since this car originally would have had the OEM carbon splitters. The part just arrived yesterday and should be getting installed in the next few weeks. I also installed low-dust Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake Pads. Pedal feel is garbage and I do not recommend them. Still toying with the idea of changing the wheel color... ![]()

Big maintenance update going into 2024. The car hit me with a limit mode and CEL late in 2023. I took it to BMW Seattle, which was a mistake and had some shop drama. Furthermore, I discovered that the previous shop that did the RB and other work was done at very low quality. So, I re-did a bunch of work to get the car right. I was very annoyed at first and considered selling the car, but my head cooled, and I just got the car back in shape. I am doing my 500-mile break-in on the fresh RBs. The car is driving well.

![]() Furthermore, I was reading the recent 000 Mag, which has a large article about the 997 RS4.0 and E92 M3 GTS. A celebration around these two special cars and the sweet spot they are in. It got me thinking about a photo idea... ![]()

The E92 needed a wash badly. I took it down to The Shop in Seattle and gave it a nice bath. Then, I took it for a drive and enjoyed a rare, nice winter day in the PNW.
