Car vibrates specifically in third gear when off gas

Hello,

I want to know if anyone else has had similar issues. 2008 6MT at 118k miles. As I am driving in traffic or around 30 to 45 mph in 3rd gear, as I left off the gas and stay in gear, the engine feels like it wants to fall out. It ONLY happens though in 3rd gear. As soon as I get into 2nd or 4th, issue disappears and there is no vibration coming from the front of the car. This typically happens around 1500 to 4000 rpms as well.

Car recently went through some services that included a TA rebuild and Valve Cover Gasket replacement. I did not have these symptoms until these were done.

Would any of the above cause this or if it is related to anything?

Thank you!

Check your engine mounts.

Thank you! Will try to do it this coming weekend. I also have noticed some oil droppings on my parking area, would that be a cause?

Is this new? Most likely I would take a look at the valve cover gasket job.

This leak I am having isnt huge, but yes it was right after doing the valve covers. Could it possibly be that the valve covers weren’t properly installed?
