Ridgeline GT4 V2 Front Lip
Hit my Pom Performance GTS1 front lip pretty hard and actually ended up tearing itself away from the bolts/washers. Picked up this Ridgeline motorsports GT4 V2 lip, this one was pre drilled and came with hardware (unlike pom) and is way stronger. Fitment is like 90% and gets better as you mount it, overall very happy for the $. The GT4 also is a very cool changeup from the GTS style

New to me set of oem hypersilver359M's for winter, some quick gas station pics tonight. Love these wheels and now made a full circle back to 359m's.
I also swapped over chrome grills and stuck a new oem chrome ///M3 badge on the back. Proper pictures soon! The fitment in my opinion is nearly perfect! OEM staggered 19x9,19x10 specs 255:35:19, 275:35:19 Michelin Pilot Sport All Season tires 15mm front, 12.5mm rear spacers Eibach lowering springs, EDC struts, camber is nearly maxed out stock camber, didn't seem to rub (yet) on the short test drive |

What a glorious and fantastic looking car, and well done looking at so many examples to find exactly 'the right one'. It should be driven more than once a week. Go on force yourself. You can do it, though I see you're up in CT whereas I'm in SC and daily mine. IF I could buy an E92 M3 new again, I would.

If we correct for inflation since 2008 (when I bought mine) and if we believe the G'Mnt inflation figures (which I don't = they are vastly understated. Go to http://www.shadowstats.com/alternate...flation-charts to the see the real data) then today's price of a brand new E92 M3 base would be $83.3K. Even at that price the E9X M3 still seems like such a bargain, and so much lighter than the ~4000lb porkers or today. PS: I really need to get up to Highlands NC again - one of these days. .

I live nearby (in NYC) and am looking for winter tires for my new E92 M3. I would be going upstate to Lake George area for the occasional weekend trip where there may be some snow/inclines during the winter months. Have you had any issue with your Michelin Pilot Sport All Seasons in NY/CT/VT? or do they not get much snow use? would you recommend something closer to full-on snow tires (Blizzaks) or is that overkill for NYC and occasional VT/upstate NY?

Even more snow photos...
This car just looks so cool out of its element in the terrible winter weather! Definitely will be doing an undercarriage detail in the spring as I believe this is the first salt it is seeing in its life. Today was -1 F here in Connecticut, car drove amazing in these temps and being in a warm garage makes it not seem so cold lol.

6,200 miles over 3 month road trip.
6,200 mile roadtrip. Had a lot of fun taking my M3 south for most of the winter. This car is amazing, it took the miles like a champ. I got 22-23mpg on the highways sitting between 85-90mph. Lots of very spirited driving as well. Drove through some crazy rain storms, 95 degree sunny days, and snow.
TLDR: not a actual issue, just yapping about oil levels: Only used about 1.8 quarts of oil over 6200 miles, found the oil level sensor hated sitting at 4k rpm for a few of the 12 hour day drives. After 3-4 hours it would pop "add 1qt", I would shut it off and start again after a 10 min gas/break and it would be back up at the top, I assume this is because of the oil sitting up in the engine after hours of constant 4k rpm and that the oil level sensor is an average of miles from what I've read so going from a few weeks of strictly city driving to hopping on highway and sitting at 3500-4k rpm for hours upon hours. One day the car was sitting running straight for hours as a shuttle car essentially helping some friends shuttle hypercars back and forth, I actually got an "overfull" warning after not adding any oil for the past 900 miles prior to that, opposite effect happening LOL. It was fine after, I assume the avg it out computer didn't like the constant idle to 2k rpm. I drove Miami to Sarasota with a friend with a boosted E90 M3, similar miles/years and our oil levels dropped at nearly the exact same time from full, to 3/4,1/2,1/4, add 1qt, after sitting at 5k+ rpm for an hour across alligator alley.( had a fun 150mph run there in the "Mexico" alligator alley... wink.) both our oil levels after a gas stop were back to good. I always add oil slowly at 1/4 intervals and keep it up at the top, don't think I've ever gotten a legit add 1qt. Other than that the oil level going all over it was completely smooth sailing with zero hiccups besides one speed camera snagged me. Drive your car! Highlights were tail of the dragon, bmw performance center, Miami downtown, M3 next to a Lamborghini Veneno, etc etc. Here's a bunch of pics: |
