Can anyone else comment on RMJ Motors? Their price seems to be the best.

Changm3 ; do you have a contact name?

Thanks!

^call or email 3-4 shops in the gta and ask your questions.

How many rod bearings they have changed?
Which parts they recommend and why?
And so on... then with those questions answered, pick where you want the work done.

300-400 bucks here and there wont make much of a difference for the peace of mind knowing you choose the right shop who has done a number of these services before. Thats my recommendation.

You can read above where i went.

Is anyone running ACL bearings? I have been reading about them and they seem to be promising. Problem is that the shops that I've called only use VAC and they have all said that they have no experience with the ACL bearing.

Just did bearings this spring. VAC bearings, arp bolts, new oem gasket/mounts, liquimoly oil change and ceratec treatment. First time I've used ceratec and I am amazed at how much quieter my idle vs before going in to the shop.

2011 w/ 115k. Switched to liquimoly approx 4 oil changes/20k ago, but was using oem before. Daily driven and has been through a few cold winters. One bearing had a visible groove in it. I shouldn't be surprised how much wear these had, but I am.

Did you use Ceratec before the bearing change or after?
Ceratec has made a huge difference in my car, and people mentioned it gunks up the spark plugs, checked the plugs every so often no abnormal issues.
Car idles better and revs to redline smoother!

Whut. This won’t have any effect on idle quality.

Just dropped off my car at RMP Motors. Those guys seem to be pulling bearings weekly which makes me very confident in their abilities...check their IG.

So happy my car made it there without blowing! On my drive there I was thinking what if my bearings spin now! Thankfully they didn't and I should be all set tomorrow night.

^ solid choice, Rocco did mine a year ago and i couldnt be happier to get it off my mind.

Dont forget to keep your original bearings. I kept mine just to show the next owner when that time comes.

I think because it sounds like you do not have a receipt to show the next owner. Ie. Need to show actual bearings

^ besides us car nuts who in the world knows about these problems? Its a selling point. I always like to have all of the old parts no matter how obsolete they are.

One of the posters already answered. Typically, one would show an invoice for the work being done as opposed to the old parts that were removed.

I was just kidding and didn't mean any disrespect.

Work done

First off i want to give a huge thanks to Rocco at RMP motors, he did an amazing job. I had a couple other little issues EDC dampening and TPMS light on my dash (american car with no sensors) and he fixed all of it...
Thanks again did the rod bearings and both TA and had the car back in 24 hrs.
i'd recommend his shop anytime

Rocco at RMP is doing 2-3 of these jobs a week. He can do it in his sleep by now. Rocco has been my guy for the last 10 years. Highly recommend.

Do you know where he gets BE bearings from? Wondering if I could just give him a call to pick them up from him.
