I get more attention than Lamborghinis....however Im lower, louder, and faster lol. M3s are BMWs and when people see badass BMWs they don't see another rich guy trying to buy a cool car. Cool people know M3s are the shiiizznit, the publicis catching on!!!

Must be those red wheels that grab people's attention.

No head turner for me, but that's why I love it and that's why I bought it (I come from a R8 4.2 LOUD) and that's why I haven't fitted an M Performance exhaust (Missing a lot some sound!). But with the bad economic/social situation in Europe right now a low profile is the way to go IMHO.

A clean Jerez Black w/ ZCP turns heads in Europe- it's a 100.000 Euro car. I always say thanks for the compliment.

I was at the AT&T store yesterday and a guy waiting in front of me for service started up a conversation regarding my E92 and while we were chatting. A couple of guys were walking around the car like they are looking at a Lamborghini. I came out feeling proud and a little embarrass at the same time.

I also got A LOT of thumbs up/snapping pics in my 328, I get at least 1 thumbs up from young & old ppl every time I drive the car. Wheels definitely play a BIG role. Girls love the M3 though since its red loll and some girls just know that I switched my black BMW to the same but in red -_- lmao

Just this past Friday, I was parked at a Wells Fargo lot. Came out, and 2 guys were standing behind my car. I walk towards my car and past the 2 guys and one yells out: "I can't decide if I like you more, or your car more."
I wasn't sure what to think of it...lol! |

It may not be a special car to you but then that logic doesn't make any sense because it's obviously special enough that you took the time to not only join an M3 forum but take additional time to post 95 times on it. You should have bought a Prius because for a guy that claims to drive an M3, you sure don't know much about it. |

I think it varies a lot within the M3. A very clean E92 M3 in a nice color with clean, shiny ZCP wheels (or aftermarket) can be quite a head turner whereas a dirty E90 in white or silver will blend in with background traffic.
I am not able to keep my M3 garaged (city living) and it is black so it is always dirty. I find that it is actually pretty inconspicuous. Which is fine by me because part of what I love about the M3 is that it can be a bit of a sleeper. Fast, nice car that Joe-Cororolla sees as just another small BMW. That said, I remember when I went to pick the M3 up, my wife drove it back home and I followed her in my 997 C2S and I saw more people checking the M3 out than the 911 during that ~150 mile drive. Then again it could be that she was an attractive blonde in a new M3 and I was just some dude. But I remember being surprised by that. |

My M turns heads all the time. At least once a week I get a thumbs up from other drivers. The E92 is a great looking car!
I just returned from participating in Targa Newfoundland. On the rock my car was a HUGE head turner even amongst fellow drivers. Below is a pic with her all decaled up!
