How to fix Mirror misalignment
So I had just picked up my new to me e92 and after a few days noticed that the mirrors did not align properly. Being anal about stuff like this, it bugged the hell out of me. I posted the question in the General forum and Malek came to the rescue. There seemed to be a ton of people who had this same issue, so I figured I would put this out in the DIY so others might stumble across it.

Mine did this when I reset and I thought I broke the damn thing. By pulling back towards the window and pressing the button, it chugged its way back. |

Man, that grind and pop are scary, but it worked on my driver side. My passenger side is still slightly off. Might have improved by a mm or two though. Thanks for the info.

My mirror alignment was off so I followed the above and the alignment is fixed. However now when I push the button to fold my mirrors in or out the driver side does not fold. The mirror moves slightly like it's trying to fold but doesn't really go anywhere.

Hey Sammy, Helping it does not change anything, it hasn't been coded. When folded the same thing happens it moves very little but not enough to even look like it went anywhere. |

Bumping old thread because of similar issues. I did the procedure, but my driver side mirror is lazy to close and cannot catch up to the passenger side. I wished someone made rebuilt kits for these.
