MSS Height Adjustable Suspension
Looks like MSS has finally come out with an application for E9X M3s, here's a YouTube video from Evolve unboxing and installing on their E92 M3:
I've been scouring threads looking for the best solution for myself, honestly I don't track and just want to get rid of the wheel gap, I was looking everywhere between Swift Spec R springs and Ohlins R&T. I doubt I'll really adjust as I don't drive the car during winter, however want to maximize the drop, which was why I was looking for adjustable. Seems like springs give an okay drop while still having wheel gap, and the latter is a roughly $3k solution with ECD cancelling modules. Looks like this might be my solution. Thoughts? Seems like the F chassis guys are happy with their MSS suspensions. |

The problem with both will be suspension travel, there is not much travel with the stock setup, lowering it too much without changes to increase travel (Dinan ride kit or shaved top mounts w/e36 bump stops) with make it ride like crap. |

I run the MSS kit on my 8V RS3, a fantastic kit but quite expensive for just adjustable springs, they're priced almost as much as a set of full coilovers.
The ride is better than stock, has no noises, and works perfectly with the adjustable magnetic dampers. I'd be interested to get a set for my E92 once available... if it doesn't cost $1500+ Last edited by DanMpower; 01-05-2022 at 12:34 PM.. |

I watched the two Evolve videos on the kit with interest. They are certainly on the pricey side and from my quick search, only seem to be available from Evolve and the UK at the moment. I noticed the perches are stamped ‘Made in the UK’ and spotted an Eibach logo on the smaller black multi-rate springs. I will watch with interest for further tests and feedback.

Yeah, I had the same concern when I installed this kit on my RS3 but it hasn't moved at all since installation.

There's no locking mechanism on the rear spring adjuster of my clubsports and they don't move.

More updates coming soon. Testing has gone well and we almost are ready to sign off on the new Evolve x Bilstein EDC Dampers.

Very interested in those dampers!
Curious if I missed it, what are the spring rates in the MSS kit? I get it's progressive, in a sense, but presume the separate rates may be helpful for consideration. Your dampers + MSS might be an interesting alternative to the B16 coilovers, which have been hard to source. Or they could be a great alternative to OE hardware when the factory shocks fatigue, since the normal Bilsteins seem to raise the car. Last edited by wyatth; 02-15-2022 at 12:31 AM.. |

We have designed them to be used with lowering springs and these new MSS HAS kits. I've road tested it with stock ZCP springs and the ride/handling is very good but didn't take any ride height measurements. we will switch them back at some point before release to provide this information.

Stupid question, would the 0 lowering setting for these be stick height for a regular or ZCP M3?
