Diy: stuck cv
I was in a situation that I needed to remove my CV shafts and nothing I did worked.spraying pb blaster, Hammering on it with a sledge ,15ton 3 jaw with an impact and Hammering no luck!
Then I had an idea of finding a way to soak it in pb blaster over night wile it was still on the car. I found the bottom of a 1L pop bottle fit perfect. So I glued it on with some shoe goo cut a hole at the top and filled it up , next day came out with the 3 jaw easily. I hope this can help others. Last edited by Mog-10; 11-23-2023 at 09:35 PM.. |

Great idea! I wish I would have seen this before I pulled the axle and hub together off the car and left it soaked with PB blaster under pressure on a 50 ton press overnight to get mine unstuck. This idea probably would have worked just as well.
