Would you buy this?

2009 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 3LZ

MSRP: $82,990.00
Red Tag Price: $74,728.65
Your Price: $74,728.65*

GM is hurting big time.....$8,200 off a 2009 before you even walk in the door and haggle. Website posted a disclosure that reads "Red Tag price may be even less."

Wow....sad day for the mighty GM. As a consumer this is great....but I'm not sure what this says about the future of our economy. Makes one wonder where the price of autos will be by Spring 2009. Could we ever see brand new BMWs discounted $8K like this? If so, my guess is the M5s will be the first to take the hit.

I just got one discounted for $10k in Canada, so yes, it could happen.

Wait till next year when the lots are full are there are no buyers.

Hmmm...if BMW follows suit, maybe another M3 is in the future.

When I bought my E92 M3,I could have had a new fully optioned 08 C6 Z06 cdn car for about $8000 less than the Bimmer.Great deal but I have had Vettes before and I did not need to go down that road once more!

If I had 74K in cash to spend on a car, a Vette would be the LAST car I would consider.

Yeah, its crazy. This time next year....you might be able to get in any car for two-thirds of its current cost. Hell, we might see a few Ms going for 20% off.

You didn't like your vette? The new vettes are nice, and the Z06 are fast as balls......if they came with a trans like the M-DCT I might pull the trigger. I can do MTs anymore. To many injuries, like the broken thumb and torn tendons I have. Between losing knees, angles and arms to injuries here and there, I need a car I can drive without 2 4 perfectly working limbs. Sounds sad, but when your left hand is partially in a cast or your left knee is killing you a MT can be a nightmare.......

I don't think M's will ever depreciate as fast as Corvettes or any American car.
