[DIY E92 M3] High-Power White Angel-Eye Lamp "KAIZEN Version"
Hello, M3 Fighter Pilots!!
Several months ago, I had introduced "High-Power White Angel-Eye" to you. Now I improve it in order to get more brightness. (As you know, KAIZEN means Japanese philosophy of continuous improvement.) First of all, this is the result. My work has almost same brightness as genuine H8 halogen lamp. . There are two "Optcal Glass Pipe" as this diagram shown by tom@eas. The left one guides the light to the left ring of the Outer Angel-Eye, and the right one guides the light to the right ring of the Outer Angel-Eye. This is the genuine reflector of the Angel-Eye. Check the direction of the light. This is a plan of base plate. Cut out stainless plate by laser cutting machine. This is the High-Power LED "Luxeon K2 with TFFC Cool White" (LXK2-PWC4-0180). It has 250 Lumen (@1,500mA/3.85V). It generates a great deal of heat. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a cooling system. This is aluminum heat-sink and micro-fan for cooling the High-Power LED. . Assemble the micro-fan to the base plate. Assemble the aluminum heat-sink to the base plate. It has three High-Power LEDs. The center one is for the Inner Angel-Eye Ring, and the left and right one are for the Outer Angel-Eye Ring. And It has a forced air cooling system by micro-fan which is usually used for CPU cooling. The left one is the first version which I had made, and the right one is the KAIZEN version. They has completely different shape. Provide the power for checking its brightness. It has really "Cool White". How dazzling it is!! Install the KAIZEN version to the headlamp unit. Close-up. The two High-Power LEDs on each side are just adjusted to the "Optcal Glass Pipe". Compare the brightness of the Inner-Ring and the Outer-Ring. They has almost same brightness. It is too difficult by several other products. More information, please see here. (Sorry, it is written in Japanese. Use Altavista or others.)

Soaristo my friend you are epic. Not only because you seem to be a great DYIer with actual engineering experience, but just the fact that you start every thread with "Hello, M3 Fighter Pilots!!"
That shit puts a smile on my face every time. Rock on, guy! Great mod by the way!

Just a ...
Thank you very much for giving me a lot of praising word.
And I received a lot of private message from the Bimmers. They said that "I want to buy it! How much?". But I'm just an engineer, not a merchant. I'm sorry for everyone. I like to think and make a new work rather than make a money. Once if I get a money from you, it will change to obligation, not a hobby. So, please try to make some works by your own hand, referring to my information. I don't make and sell my works for anyone. It is very interesting to think that "How to make it?". It will not settle by money. Let's try and enjoy DIY!!

do not open ...
Thank you for your technical question.
It is "Luxeon K2 with TFFC Cool White" (LXK2-PWC4-0180). Its brightness is 250 Lumen at 1,500mA(max) and 3.85V(max). Technical Datasheet is here. I succeeded to cancel the warning by using "Special Designed Circuit" for the Light Control Unit. I'm one of an electronic engineer. I do not open the know-how, because some after-parts makers will steal my idea to make a similar product. To: some after-parts makers that had made similar one. Use your own head, if you make money!!

Hello, M3 Fighter Pilots!!
After one month, I made a set of this "KAIZEN Version". (Because I had tested the thermal capacity of this DIY parts on my car.) It has the "Cool While" color and it has the enough brightness under daytime and nighttime. This "KAIZEN Version" with High-Power LED has some advantages. It is easy to install than another Angel-Eye DIY. (e.g. install the H8 HID.) And the most important advantage is that it do not hurt any body parts. (e.g. cut out the lid of headlamp unit and re-wire some cables.) . By the way, After I had posted this DIY, one of the manufacturers announced a new product. It is called "WHITE RING M3 Doping Edition". (Now, there is no detailed page, only announced it's name.) The manufacturer is one of "Chinese" companies. (It feigns that it is ".jp" domain, but...) I'm very very much looking forward to that "What kind of shape does it have???" and "What advantage does it have???". [Reference] "Copy Design Heaven in Shanghai Motor Show 2009" "Is this BMW?? No!! This is BYD." "Is this Mercedes?? No!! This is BYD."

Hello,
I read your private message. Things that I want to say was posted above. I am just an engineer, not a merchant. And I need not make a few money. I do not meddle in your business. So, I will not help your business, never. For commercial use, I do not tell you the know-how that how to cancel the warning message, how to skip the blinking state and where to get the materials. If you want to make money, you should use your own hands and head. Please do not depend on an amateur. Best regards.
