Your price isn't even close to being competitive.
You're looking at High 40's/Low 50's for your car. The low mileage is nice, but it doesn't matter because the new buyer will lose the warranty after 4-years anyway which will be in 6-months or so for a 2008. My advice would be to price it closer to $54,900, but be prepared to take $48,900 for it. If you're serious about selling it, asking for $64,900 will get you absolutely ZERO offers guaranteed. |

I hate to admit my car it worth that little too, but he's right. $64,900 is far too much, even though we both know it is

even mid 50s is high thats what i paid in late 2008 early 2009 for mine. Your price wouldn't have been competitive for that car in 2008 let alone 3-4 years later.

Thanks for the comments.
I am sticking with my asking price as this car is like new and treated as a collectors car which it will be when the V8 dissappears. This car will appeal to those seeking an alternative to buying new and saving $20K+. I am sure my baby will find the right owner who will take care of her like I did. Please stop posting about how the car is priced too high. Look at Auto trader and you will see others for $55-$62k. But then again we comparing apples to oranges. |

Sure, it may have 20,000 kms (instead of 8,000 like yours), but that still gives the buyer 3+ more years of warranty (driving at 20,000 kms/year) + 3-more years of free maintenance. Your warranty and BMW serivce is toast in 6-months and it's a 2008. A 2011 with 20,000 kms will always be worth more than a 2008 with 8,000 kms. Plus, your car is a Sedan which has a lower resale value than a Coupe. At the end of the day, you can ask for whatever price you want. You could ask for $70,000 if you wanted to. But I think you're being very delusional if you really think you'll get $64,900. I know it hurts to hear and you'd rather tell everyone else they don't know what they're talking about, but if you're SERIOUS about selling the car, that price won't get it done, not by a long shot. The longer you stick to that price, the lower your resale gets as the car gets older. Once the warranty expires, your resale will take an instant hit. If you wait until the all-new M3 comes out, your resale will take another hit. So if you really want to sell the car and move onto something else, sell it for a reasonable price and call it a day because your resale value goes down every day you wait! - KJ |

Wow, a 4 year old car (in model years)* for only a little less than the car's original invoice (since it's a sedan, manual and with no iDrive)?
*And it will be a 5-year old car (in model years) in 3 months time, as the 2013 model year starts with July production.

I think you can almost pick up a brand new 2012 for a little more if you want a stripped one. I heard the dealerships are giving out pretty hefty discounts on their existing stock to make room for the 2013's.

Seriously, I wouldn't pay more than $48k or so for that car, and even that is a huge stretch. |
