It's only Week one but the Steelers looked the best in the AFC against a potent Houston team. In the NFC, Dallas had an easy game against a Browns defense that has no pass rush and the Eagles looked dominant against a poor Rams defense. The Giants were ordinary against a mediocre Redskins team and New Orleans barely got past Tampa Bay.
I'd say at this point that Pittsburgh is going to win the Super Bowl. ![]() Go Patriots. |

the saints...interesting team this year. they were so dazzling a couple years ago, but had a mediocre season last year. now they've got some new additions on defense and shockey and i'm really interested to see how things will end up this year. they could just instantly click and start running up points like they did in 2006.

wow i just took a loss on one of my fantasy teams because cutler kneeled down at the end of the game which dropped his rush yards from 12 to 9. that cost me a point. score tied, cutler was listed at 300 yards...they corrected cutler's stats to 299, which was minus another point. so i lost when i was in win position. bullshit.

But back to Brady: do we REALLY beleive he's out for the whole season? He walked off. A little orthscopic, 5 weeks of that intense miracle recovery training, and he's back by week 8 or 9.

Looks can be deceiving. Just because he was able to "walk" off the field, doesn't really mean much. I only saw quick footage clips, but wasn't he accompanied by trainers on each side? That takes a lot of pressure of an injury even if it appears he was walking. |

Wouldn't that require Tony Romo to win a playoff game first?

I don't remember the trainers supporting him as he walked off, just there in case The Chosen One needed anything along the way. |

That is the norm when you tear your ACL. Horrible pain when it happens and a loud "pop", then you can get up and walk. You don't even need to have an ACL repaired if you're not an active person, you don't need it.

he's out on injured reserve, so he is officially done for the year.

It's one game man, this is the NFL, not college. The Colts had their share of losses the year they went to the Super Bowl. All they need to do is own the division.
Harrison's fumble is what swung the momentum and killed them that night. I think his career is coming to a close. Peyton was a little rusty, and there were several rookies on the O-Line for that game, and it showed. I'd much rather see the Colts lose their first game, or maybe in their first few games, and have to play their asses off the rest of the season to make it to the playoffs rather then coasting to 10-0 or whatever and resting up the remainder of the year. They ALWAYS arrive to the playoffs FLAT when that happens. See the Chargers game last year.
