Old one? I think you are talking about the Q7 bro? This is the smaller Q5 soon to be unveiled

Just saw this over at Worldcarfans. Not impressed. Also, some people over there are claiming that the ugly stuff like the headlights and taillights are PS'd. I wouldn't doubt it. That tail is just downright offensive...and that front...starting to bother me...looks like EVERY other damn Audi that they're coming out with. I mean, don't get me wrong, I actually like where Audi is taking its design (take the R8, S4/5 for example), but they really need to be more creative with their front fascia/headlights.

And when I say "be more creative with the headlights", I mean the housing, not the inner details. Audi makes the best headlight details imo. They're not just simple HID bulbs amidst a sea of black and reflective plastic. More manufacturers could learn from them.

I TOTALLY agree with you. Not the inner housing, the actual headlight design and shape needs to be more unique across the model range. It will make models more unique and stand out more. I also agree on the inner details, Audi do it great. I love the new LEDs they have in the R8, A5, A4 etc.

Don't be hypocritical. I really do hope Audi changes the back a little bit.

i actually like how all the audi models are getting this kind of corporate face with the Grille which i like, and the LED strip which i like, but i do agree that they should change up the headlight bumpers and such a little bit, but keep the grille and the LEDs, they are Audi's kidney grille and angel eyes, i think you can spot an audi so much easier...like you would when you see 2 kidney grilles and angel eyes, instead, we get a yawning mouth and LEDs...i like! lol

Agreed.^

These latest iterations of Audis (new A4/5, S4/5, RS6, and R8) and BMWs (like the facelifted 5, X5, and e92/3 with the really bright stock angels) are instantly recognizable on the road moreso than anything else in my opinion.

It's good to have a uniform design language across a brand. Brand recognition is something each manufacturer strives for, but so far I think only Audi and BMW are nailing it on the head. Brightworks makes up a large part of it. Grilles make up the other part. You see a split grille you think either Pontiac or BMW, but the angels make it unmistakable. You see a big nose of a grille, and you think Audi. Now you don't even need to see the grille. You have those incredibly bright LEDs to spot.

Spot on. I agree. I think that's why other manufacturers fail in terms of design. I mean, look at the new Hyundai Genesis. It looks great but it is just a mix of 5 series and Lexus LS. I think they had to be more unique and things like grille and headlights need to have some sort of link with other models. When all your models have different headlights/grilles it doesnt work so good.

The more I look at these pictures the more I am under the impression that they are in fact photoshops. The wheels look fake, the grille I am not sure about and the rear lights and rear itself don't quite gel, there seems to be a lip between the rear lights where I suspect you handle/opener is but yet the reflection of the trees don't look right.

I just don't know about these photos.

I wouldn't mind it if they stopped making SUV's...sorry SAVs...but they need to in order to generate profit. If their exististence benefits the other real models, then I'm all for it.
