EVERYBODY with a P3 bent gauge please check this out. Simple ?

Hello fellow ///M enthusiasts.

'08 M3 e90 VF650

I have the P3 vent gauge installed. Boost is hooked up via vacuum line.

My question is when I go to the throttle position menu it maxes out at 85.

I'm assuming that means 85% throttle..?????

Can anyone shed some light on this. What does your gauge read at WOT in the throttle menu

85 probably refers to 8500 as the shift lights indicator RPM.

The shift light is set at 8k. I have the performance wheel with the indicator so I don't use the gauge for a shift light.

But no matter what rpm in at if I push the pedal to the floor it only goes up to 85

Sorry, I misunderstood because you said menu.

I have my car in storage or I'd check for you..

No problem. I'm hoping someone that has one can shed some light on the situation.

If worse comes to worse I'll give the gauge company a call

I wish I had a P3 but, I don't so I can't answer your question.

Do you have an OBD adapter of any kind? I would plug in and look at the throttle position if you really think thats what it means.

I Will check mine tomorrow and get back to you but where ever you taped in for boost readings shouldn't matter.

I am very curious! I'm going to the 1/4 mile tomorrow and don't want to be at 85% throttle ??

Yes. You just have to set it to use the analog sensor to read boost instead of the OBD port
