It's a great way to beat up on and learn the absolute limit on your car without actually placing any wear and tear or miles on your car. That and you get to try the M2, M3 and M4. I HIGHLY recommend it. I never knew how much our M3/4 could actually take until this class. These things are beasts and it's amazing what they can do on a track. You don't even touch 75% their potential on the road, even on an open highway at 4am when you are pushing over 100mph. Not even close.

I can confirm you can combine a class credit with the 20%...did it last year for full m school...got 20% off then actually called in with the 849 credit and got refunded that. I'd love to hear if you can stack the 20% and BMWCCA 15% because I have another $849 and I'm keen to do advanced m school. Once you do the 2 days school, you'll be hooked. Plus the m school qualifies you for bmws Nürburgring m school...that was the best!!!

I would recommend doing some kind of HPDE or instructional track day or performance event before doing the M course (if you haven't already). To answer your question, yes it is very beneficial. Eye opening. Awesomely fun. But you would get so much more out of it if you have a little bit of experience leading up to it. I've been to two separate 2 day M schools in South Carolina and a 2 day in Thermal. I highly recommend them, but I also observed a few people who had never done anything like this before were in a little over their head. I always wished that BMW would require that people attend a non-M school or something equivalent before they could attend the M school. Don't get me wrong, some people who have never done anything like that before do just fine, and the instructors are awesome and quite patient. It just seems like everyone would be better off if they had some pre-requisites before doing the full M school. Just my opinion. Some may disagree. As far as which one, the accommodations at the Thermal facility were better than South Carolina, but as far as the on track programs, they are essentially the same.

What's the difference between a 2 day M school and the Advanced M school? I did the one day M school earlier this year and it was a total blast. I know that the first day of the 2 day M school is basically the one day school. Had anyone done the advanced M school?
Other than the one day M school, I have a bit of past HPDE experience but not a lot, so maybe the 2 day school is the way to go but given the cost would like to consider the advanced school as well. Please help |

I just called the BMW Performance hotline and asked to have my BMW CCA discount piggy-backed on the already used 20% discount mentioned in this thread. They told me that it cannot be used in conjunction with the other discount. From what I have read so far they can be used together. Which is correct?

Helmets used to be part of the 2 day M School gift as it was required for advanced M school. To cut costs, PC no longer gives a helmet to participants nor is it required to wear when driving. This is direct from the horses mouth aka PCD staff. I've used mine twice.
