How to clean OEM car cover?

Hi everyone,

I was given a car cover by the previous owner of my car when I purchased it a few years ago and never really used it but I dug it up recently and it looks pretty dirty. I was wondering what would be the best way to clean the car cover, google says washing machine but I just want to double check with the forum to make sure that's okay.

thanks!

My friend take his car cover to a dry cleaner every year before he puts it on his car. Apparently he said it is common as you'll want to make sure use commercial size washing machine that's large enough to dislodge anything trapped inside the cover? He also vacuum the inside before he puts it on.

thanks for the input, i bet the dry cleaners charge an arm and a leg, but if washers are okay maybe i'll drop by the laundromat and throw it in the largest washer they have there lol

I throw it in the washer each year. It's been fine.

Washer here also.
Seems to hold up fine for about three years and two times in the washer.

Washing machine on a delicate cycle, cold water, air dry. Use one of those cleaners like they have for microfibre towels or tech fabrics, and use it sparingly -- if there's any residue it could leave weird streaks that you'll need to clean off the paint later.
