Got a GTR last night..

hmmm so the GTR is freaking FAST! i freaking love the car.
but man.. to be honest, i like my M3 better. not as fast but much more luxurious and better to just drive around town.
end of story. just wanted to share..lol

A bit of advice if you plan to track it - clear it with your dealer if you want to keep the car under waranty. Once you do any mods, you are apt to be in deep shame, and the waranty is a thing of the past. Sad story from a friend.

What kind of mods would someone want to do to a car that is about as fast as a Veyron?

Wait until you put it on the track, get it up to speed, and attempt to stop it. Run it hard for a couple of laps, and watch the transmission temperture. BTW, if the car does not appreciate what you are doing to it, it can, and will, go into limp home mode. And, if you think the car is expensive, just wait until you go to have it serviced after a mechanical issue at the track Ask Martin D, he has quite a laundry list.

Will agree, it is fast.

What sort of person posts a note like this.

Jealous much?

If not, what on earth would possess a normal human being to write this note.

Oh right. It's the Internet so you don't have to worry about being punched in the face because you're a jerk.

Sheesh.

Good advice and true from what I have heard many times.

Congrats to the OP! I am sure it is wickedly fast.

Most street cars will do this on track. Twin clutch transmissions in cars overheat on track without aftermarket cooling. Evo X MR's TC-SST does this, DCT does this, PDK does this... The 335i will overheat without aftermarket cooling too. As for limp mode, it isn't permanent. Just wait for it to cool down and you can go again.

As for track, this is GoToRacing's GT-R racing on track going head to head with a 700hp race-prepped car. This isn't a track day, it's an actual NASA race. This is the GT-R's first race when it was stock.

Unfortunately there aren't many roads in Korea where you can really push the car..
Roads are either 1) Shitty or 2) infested with speed traps

Congrats though! Nice cars

ps. did you buy the M3 recently too? I see that you have temporary plates on your M3
