Thumbs up should have bought M3 3 years ago!

Hey everyone!

I just got my first M car in my life! I sold my C63 for an E90 MDCT. I should have bought the MDCT M3 earlier! Car is more balanced, lighter, steering feedback way better! MDCT is night and day compare with the 7 gear auto. Down side on the E90, exterior and interior is getting quite old. Interior materials are very cheesy and feels cheap in many way. Anyway, M3 is my daily driver and I bought the car because of the tranny, engine and M3 soul!

I hear some weird whine after 150km/h? (90miles) still breaking her in!
God, I miss the roads back in L.A! taking forever to break her in!

Looking forward in this great M3 community!

A few round trips between LV & LA should take care of that quickly.

Are all those cars on the second line of sig sold?

If not, want to trade lives for like 3 hours?

Who am I kidding? I'd do it just to drive the Ferrari California!

C63 interior makes me cry, in fear.
That aside, welcome to the M3 community, and I am glad you finally see what a masterful machine these M's are. Nice to have a prior C63 driver jump ship

Congrats, take it for a road trip. The interior will be much nicer if it comes with alcantara headliner and leather wrapped dash

It should feel like an upgrade from the C63 man . I'd probably choose the Vette's interior over the C63 . But yes, BMW needs something nicer. My main gripes are I can't see the damn needles in daylight, and the lack of gauges, especially a coolant one. It should also have volts.

Congrats and post some pics.

The M3's interior materials do leave more to be desired. The C63 wasn't any better honestly. Though, that seems to have changed with the refresh. Why not wait for the 12' coupe to hit later this summer/early fall?

It was worse. No doubt about it, much more cheap plastic visible. And that pop up navi was a joke but i believe that has been resolved.

Thanks everyone!

This is all my personal preference. C63 and M3's interior has advantage over the others. For example, The pieces that my fingers can touch on the M3 is just an ordinary 3er. Such as, buttons on steering, sunroof switches, door handle, and the trunk. C63's is also very plastic. The dashboard is just some parts are not very good looking at all. Overall, I am glad I bought the M3. I prefer the interior over C63. These two cars are very nice cars. The facelift C63's interior looks much better than the current.

I agree maybe the M3s interior is nothing to behold when it comes to looks, but cheap feeling? Don't agree with that at all...My E92 M3 is better than my 997.1S as far as interior feel. Loved the insturments in the PCar though..that big fat tach staring you in the face.

Also I thought the Mercs interior is cheezy, the M3s while bland is purposeful..not overdone.

the M3's interior may be plain and dated, in fact i prefer simplicity over busyness. but it's not cheap in any way. there is a difference.

Dont know if I agree with you on this, I too came from a 997.1S but leather dash and alcantara roof liner just to name 2 things made it feel much more 'special' than the M3s interior

since you have a california also, do you mind posting a comparison between the two?

spec wise, they arent that much different (obviously ferrari > bmw) but a comparison would be sick!!

The 7-series interior and M3's interior are very similar. And that's comparing a luxury car and a sports car.
