Recently Moved to Texas
Hi All.
Am a military guy recently re-assigned to Texas for the next few years and decided to bring my M3 along for the trip along with the rest of the family. LOL Was active in the NE M3 forums and met quite a few fellow enthusiasts and owners there and was wondering as to what the SW M3 owners did and were like. Am stationed in San Antonion and wondered where do guy recommend taking the car for service, tuning, upgrades/mods and the like. I think I really may need a clear bra sometime soon but can't afford to ship the car to Cali and have some of those guys do it...but would be interest in advice and tips from fellow Texas M3 owners. Also just wanted to also say hello to all here in Texas as well. Lovely state but HOT and big!

Welcome to Texas!!
Sorry I cannot help you with San Antonio, but if you are ever up in the Big D (Dallas area), let us know. There are quite a bit of car enthusiasts up here. As for clear bra, I know a guy here in Dallas that does amazing work. He's done three of my cars and I'm confident that he compares to the best of the guys in Cali. This guy is so interested in his job that he actually spends his own money to buy samples of film to see which one can reject permanent marker the best! Very good attention to detail. |

Wow, Mission is Way South!
I just figured out how far south Mission really is. There should be some people in Houston that are capable clear bra installers. Hopefully, some of the Houston guys will chime in. DFW would be a heck of a hike for you.

Other than that the main place i can think of in Houston is "Collision Plus" (2 locations here in Houston) they just did a fantastic job on a paintless ding repair on my car and Sam and his brother are very straight with you and are both huge ///M fans. While i had my car there they told me i should clear bra it and showed me a porsche 911 tt they had just cb'd that looked great. Either way good luck finding a place! -Mike

Norm Schilling is fantastic and has done my X5 and my wife's Z4 - ridiculous attention to detail and respect for your car. He took the entire day for each car and made sure it was perfect.

I got mine done by Sunny Shyrock at Xpert Tint and Alarm on 59 N and W. Belfort, but that's located in Houston, TX. Sunny clearbras the cars for Ferrari of Houston. So any time somebody buys a new Ferrari, the sales rep drives it to Xpert to get clear bra.
Sunny put on SolarGuard's Clearshield film on my AW M3 and it hasn't peeled or turned colors on me. It's been on my car for about 7 months. |

I am at Brooks City-Base mostly but am also at Lackland AFB and Randolph AFB. If you see a Sparkling Graphite coupe...then that be me!
