PPI Recommendations - Miami
I am evaluating an E90 M3 in Miami and the seller has had it serviced all its life at Bramman. However, he said that South BMW is substantially closer to his house for a PPI if I was open to having it done there. He has been exceedingly kind, so if I can help him in that regard I will, but not if it means I get a sub-par PPI.
I have read mixed reviews on just about everyone's service department and wanted to get a feel for South BMW and if they would be reputable for a PPI? Or, perhaps there is an independent shop nearby to South BMW that is trusted by all on the forum as a legit/honest shop to give well-founded feedback? Any help ASAP would be really appreciated! Neither Braman nor South impress me. Try Mike's Bimmer Shop in South Miami to see if they offer PPIs. They are well regarded and likely not far from the seller either.

Car had slightly leaking valve cover gaskets and missing under panels = $1200 worth of needed fixes that the seller isn't willing to flex on. So a pretty solid ROI on the PPI. Back to the drawing board for finding a car, though.... |

Valve Covers = $840 Splash Guards = $350 Front Bumper had some damage (and would need respray) = $700 All (4) wheels slightly curbed = $160/wheel if I were to repair Also listed an accident on Carfax (it was only a $400 scrape...but that is a flag to the "value" for most buyers). The cars are "rare" to some degree, but I am currently in conversation with (2) other '08 Silverstone/Black cars without the issues of the above car and only priced slightly higher. So certainly not impossible to find. Jack |

The differences, to me, are inconsequential. Yes the LCI rear is a bit more appealing, but the IDrive function improvement isn't of any value to me. So for most all other intents and purposes, the '08 and '09 are on the same playing field.
