Installation finished and car tested.
INSTALLATION: The kit was very well made, every part fitted like stock parts, instructions were 95% accurate, here and there had to use a little common sense, but overall accurate. Me and my mechanic(not a BMW specialist and never installed a supercharger B4) took 2 days in my garage.Difficulty level would be a 7 out of 10, but as long as u keep attention to the instructions u be ok, it's 54 pages but every line is important. Tune was easy, I plugged in the provided cable and download the G-FLASH program, very easily I downloaded my map and emailed it to gpower, after about 6 hours I got back the email with my new tune, including dct tune. FIRST IMPRESSION Well, i didn't know what to expect as I never been in a supercharger m3. It feels like twice the power, it pulls wayyyyy more, and after 5000rpm it's hell loose. Amazing. Money well spent. The spirit of the car is unchanged. It still feels like an naturally aspirated engine. I would compare it to a Ferrari 458 I drove last year , it feels very similar, if anything a little more untamed. The dct tune is amazing, shifting is super fast and firm. Thankfully i put on 888r ,295s, and they are well needed. Most impressive thing is on 3rd, full throttle at 6000rpm rear tires get some spin! But when dosed properly even 1st gear hooks nicely, second gear literally pulls u in ur seat. Last edited by M3jamaica; 05-25-2019 at 12:35 AM.. |

Update: water-meth installed, car feels even better now. But I am having a problem which I don't figure out yet, as gpower technician will be available on Tuesday. I'm having a surge of intermittent air coming back thru the compressor at closed throttle and when I downshift. I checked everything, bypass valves, compressor clutch, hoses, and all is perfect. Apart from that boost is strong and car flawless. I have no idea why I'm getting this surge. Once I fix this problem will go on a Dyno.

There might be a problem with one of the vacuum lines. If these aren't routed correctly they could be bent. Those hoses aren't installed correctly near the TBAs most the time.
It could also be possible that one of your bypass valves is already broken. Unfortunately they do not hold very long.

So far I check all the lines and they are good, I also shut open the 2 cheap plastic bypass valves that come in the kit and I connected a bigger blow off valve with a softer spring, and test I get the same surge and fluttering, I even unplugged the BOV and let the manifold free to the air and it still does it, which is shocking to me as with the manifold left open (meaning where the bypass valves plug in) all the extra air should just escape from there. I'm am now waiting on gpower response.
