Want to be part of an exhaust compilation on YouTube?
Hello! My name is Gabriel; I've had my E90 M3 for two years, and I've been through many exhaust setups either because of desiring a certain tone or because of curiosity.
As a result, I've grown to really admire the many different tones we can get out of this vehicle, so I would like to make a compilation video of the many exhaust setups out there (in SoCal, sorry NorCal!) for reasons of (1) to help someone accurately find the right exhaust setup for them (through the use of the same recording setup and same structured sequence of how to showcase the exhaust) and (2) it would be really cool to showcase the plethora of setups. I have seen EAS's exhaust compilation, but I would like to include actual driving videos as well as the other exhausts. If you are in the SoCal region and have an exhaust you would like to voluntarily share, please PM me and we will talk! All exhausts welcome! I unfortunately may not accept your offer to share due to location, but please feel free to try! I am willing to drive, but I want to cap it around a 30 mile radius. I live in the LA/OC area, but I occasionally go down to San Diego! **********DETAILS********** This is how I imagine it to go down (I will bold what I will be recording): After we agree on shooting a video, I ask for your location. I (or you) find and tell you (or me) about a nearby place where we can showcase your exhaust, preferably without disturbing people. I go to your place when you and I are free. (1) The first clip will be of your cold start. (2) The second clip will be of your idle after cold start. We go to the said place, no recording. Once your vehicle is warm (>~200F), we will go through a sequence of actions to showcase your exhaust. (3) Turn off your car. Turn it back on for warm start. (4) Rev to ~2.5k. (5) Rev to ~4.5k. (6) Rev to ~7.5k. Go to a comfortable starting point so that you can drive forward and straight for an extended amount of time. I will be recording how the exhaust sounds when driving. I will be recording how it sounds with you going away and coming back. (7) Lightly drive forward. Shift when you usually do on the street. Come back in the same manner. Go back to starting position. (8) Moderately drive forward. Like on street, but drive a bit more aggressive. Shift later than you usually do, act like you have to be somewhere without driving like a maniac. Come back in the same manner. Go back to starting position. (9) Aggressively drive forward. Please listen--Do NOT WOT (wide open throttle/push pedal all the way down) in first gear, you will probably lose traction and I don't want anything to happen. Please WOT when you are in second gear at your rpm of choosing, you know your car best. Shift at highest rpm you feel comfortable with. That is it! We part ways. I will edit it. I will post each setup individually on YouTube. In the end, I hope to have a large list of videos for people to find the exhaust they like and to showcase how cool this vehicle and its associated plethora of exhaust setups can be. If you have any suggestions, feedback, or concerns, please let me know and I will adjust accordingly if needed. Thanks! Hope to see you soon. **********EXHAUSTS ACCOUNTED FOR********** @stikgt3: Bimmerworld Resonated X-pipe + Stainless Steel Turner Axleback (Valves Open): @itoto: Bimmerworld Resonated X-pipe + Modified Active Autowerke: Coming Soon

I'm in. I've got a custom forward crossover OEM X pipe with test pipes and no resonators, with the Borla Atak rear. It's loud AF (and I'm probably going to change it soon as a result), but my god if you like racecar noises it's 100% there. PM and we can figure out logistics. I'm near LAX.
