335i vs 2007 350z

Anyone has any experience with the new 350z? I have smoked all 350z with my stock 335i against modded 350z 03-06 but never played with any 07 ones. g35 + 350z owner claim they can take 335i easily. Dont know if this is true or not. Just want to know what you guys think.

First off, stock for stock, no g35 or 350z is going to take a 335i easily. Of course they are going to say that. I personally havent ran one stock, but my bet is that the 335i would easily win.

g35/350z claims the new 350z 1/4 miles 13.2 @ 107 MPH. I searched around on google looking for 350z 1/4 time and i haven't see anything close to low 13s. I see mid to high 1/4 mile times. they even show me this stupid timeslip with youtube video. i doubt hes stock but he says he stock.

He's a good driver of a manual. According to this page: http://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233840 You can clearly see the 07's are faster than the previous years by about .4 seconds or so. Those are fully STOCK 350Zs (down to tires and NO weight reduction). I'm willing to bet most of the variances are due to track conditions/weather/altitude etc. Going to dragtimes and clicking on 335i stock you'll see the best times are not any better than those of the 350Z. SO, stock for stock - equal race from a dig. I wouldn't be so skeptical. He obviously does a lot of drag racing and if you do enough racing, you'll eventually catch a good day where you might get .2 seconds lower than your average runs.

You can get a 350Z for 30k and 335i is worth somewhere around 45k. For 15k, you can make 350Z a lot faster than stock 335i. Haha, but yeah, BMW is still a Bimmer - quality.

You can also buy a Civic for 1-2K and make them faster than a supercar.

The comparison between those two cars is not too fair, price wise. But if you are talking about performance only, then the outcome is obvious

what i am trying to say is that people claims that they can beat 335 which i highly doubt with their 2007 350z stock vs stock. they have better time in 1/4 and trap speed.

This is my car in the video. The 07 350Z is stock. My car has PRocede V2 and exhaust. I raped his ass. Once from a roll and once from a dig.

so, are you saying that Nissan is no quality, or that rattles, squeeks, engine and brake lights, dead fuel pumps, peeling door handles, shitty RFTs are pure quality?

I've been in a new 07 350z. They are pretty quick. I say drivers race, stock for stock.

I was thinking of racing him stock for stock next time I see him. If we have a camera...will post it up.

BTW...just because ONE car did it in ONE day...doesn't mean that all of the 07 350z are going to be that fast. There is a guy here than ran 13.2 STOCK (just had good tires).

This isn't about proceded 335i vs. 350Z. Hell, for 7K you can get the Greddy TT kit that makes 700HP at the wheels and rape any proceded 335i and still be 8K less.

Until there are MORE posted timeslips with stock 335is that are lower than 13.2, the facts are simply that it is a drivers race. Actually, fwiw, the two fastest stock 335i on dragtimes is 13.2 but the fastest with street tires is 13.4 which is slower than the three fastest street tired 350Z on the other website. So, from a DIG for a 1/4 mile, stock vs. stock. If I were a betting man, I'd actually bet the 07 350Z would win. Funny thing is that on dragtimes, there are no posted 07 350z's so maybe there are some good 335i stock times not posted? Anybody with the 335i beat 13.4 with street tires and all stock?

I wouldnt discount the z as being fast , one thing people dont realize is that car is very fast around the track, much better track car than ours

My car has no issues. 40k miles on it.
Read Nissan forums, I'm sure they have a handful of their own problems.
