2009 E90 6MT. Smooth and tractable, if a bit notchy when cold.

Have always owned and driven a manual (pushing 20 years), and will keep doing so... until they pull it from my cold, dead hands... This car is the first I've ever owned that's real-wheel drive, and it's double the power that I've ever had, too. Definitely still a dream car for me.

The "notchiness" of the transmission did take some getting used to, but now I really enjoy the feeling of engaging each gear.

Mike - I'm afraid I'd feel the same way about a DCT. A fun, tech-ey toy to play with for a while, but I feel like it'd soon lose its luster for me. Love the feeling of engagement when driving with all four limbs, and the satisfaction of working hard to get it perfect.

I might be jumping ship from DCT back into a manual if I can find one. Shopping for a 13 to replace my 11 jet black DCT. Im so sick of the paint! Never again!
I dont hate my DCT, its awesome for what it is. But I miss being in total control of the gears and clutch. And I admit, Im getting bored with the only thing I can do... rev match.

Just for the record, 2008 e93 6MT.
Without the stick and clutch how would I make music? How would I double pump the accelerator while shift just because I was in the mood?
