I would say drive one then comment ( im saying this in a friendly way ) the way they have it tunned it drives and performs in a controlled mannor ! and adding to the VT2 is bennificial considerring the cooling factor ...
I personaly would never buy a cadi vers a bmw regardless of how much more power it puts out ... a cadi is a cadi very poorly buitl as far as quality goes

4/30/2010 UPDATE:

Daily Driving:

Well its been about a week or so since I put the ESS VT1 Supercharger in and I'm loving it like a fat man loves cake I haven't had any problems so far except a clicking noise from what sounds like the injectors. I should get this fixed by next week or tonight

Dyno:

I finally got a chance to do three dyno runs and was pretty happy with the numbers. I just sent my files to Robert so I'm sure he'll post them up here once he corrects them. The guys at the shop were pretty impressed on how stock the kit looked and was even impressed with the numbers considering I'm only at 4.5lbs.

It was hot but cool day at 86F and I was at sea level here on the island I need to do a few more things before I strap the car down for round two.

Congrats on the new power. The torque curve is amazingly flat. Looks even better than stock!

Thanks ... I'm still messing around with the injectors and pulley so I hope to do more runs once I get that fixed.

Mine is the same 443 hp and 312 trq
My boost is 4,7. All makes sense. It shows you high altitude saps boost pressure.
With 92mm should make 5,9- 6 psi, hopefully translate to 490-500 hp

I think you need to get the intercooler and go 100mm pulley!!

I got a smaller pulley to up the boost a little ...
I'm gonna work on a few home projects before I get on the car again. If I do all my mods at once I'll get bored with the car just like my old E90

What a cool post by Palantirion. Good choice of words to describe PencilGeeks car. Truly a BEAST! You can see at the start of his video how the rear end gets a little loose with all the power and throughout the vid the tires were screaming for mercy. Man, you guys are lucky. It's going to be a while before my wife lets me spend the money for something like this. I'll just live vicariously until then. Kudos to ESS.

Cheers.

Cheers.

Awesome work there bud. A centrifugal blower is never going to make torque of a turbo car. It makes more boost with revs.

7/17/2010 UPDATE:

Exhaust Update:

After the Supercharger went on and after I did a few dyno runs as well as a few highway runs I decided to get rid of the 100 Cell race catalytic converters. I did a little research here and there and decided to go with Gintanis X-pipe and pair it up with my old Arqray Ti system. I'm now catless and with only one set of resonators

Install was a cake, the x-pipe came with gaskets and new bolts for both the header flange and the x-pipe flange. The welds on the x-pipe are really clean. I did run into one problem ... as I was driving home I got a vibration noise from the front end of the car. I think its the O2s hitting the heat shield but I’ll take a look at it in the morning.

I thought that the system would be crazy loud but it wasn’t that bad. I’m not sure about the drone because I didn’t really get a chance to drive far enough to hold it at one RPM level for a long time. It was Friday and traffic was pretty bad. My drive went something light this ... Light turns green, shift, shift, light turns yellow down shift, down shift, light turns red. I guess I’ll report back once I get a chance to drive to the other side of the island. I didn’t get a chance to strap the car on a dyno but I will next week. I should have some dyno graphs up soon.

Scroll up ... I didn't think about putting the 4.5 pulley when I was doing the dyno so I don't really have a before or after of just the x-pipe
