tire marks on leather... am i f'ed?

Usually, I ship my tires directly to my installer. This time around his shop was closed so I shipped it to myself and put in on the backseat to take it to the installer.

I noticed these tire marks on the seat. I thought they are just grim and will come right off... however I just used a bunch of stuff - mcguire leather wipes, lysol wipes, goo-gone etc... none of them seems to help.

was talking to my neighbor he said he had the same experience and had done research and seems like dye from tires are absorbed into the leather and there is nothing you can do about it... is that true? I'm hoping someone will have some remedy about this...

Try Leatherique, once you use it, you won't bother with other leather cleaner/conditioners again.

I would agree that Leatherique is a safe bet here.

Otherwise, find a reputable auto interior shop and have them look at it.

OP, can't see the problem mate, just clean it off using any light soap together with a brush. Tried?

Oh, and suggest you don't throw tires in your seat without cover. If at all....

Good luck!

This is why they sell huge trash bags at the hardware store...

On the right and middle seat, you can see the arc shape impression of the tires...

You actually threw tires in your car without a towel or trash bag over your seat/tires?

If all else fails you can try a magic eraser but use with caution. If you don't know enough about cleaning leather I'd skip the eraser step and take it in if any typical cleaner doesn't work.

Do not use Magic Eraser on a leather seat. It is abrasive and will permanently damage the leather.

Step 1.
Day 1...
Just put *Leatherique Rejuvenator oil* on it . Massage the oil in with your hands . And let it sit in the next 3 days
(If possible in the sun)

Step 2.
Day 4...
Wash the Leatherique Rejuvenator oil off with lukewarm water .

Step 3.
Done !

Your suppose to use the cleaner/conditioner to remove the rejuvenator oil. I'm not sure if it will get those marks off, but I've never tried.

The Leatherique Rejuvenator oil has the ability to pull the dirt out of the pores .
I don't use the conditioner anymore (Prestine clean) Our Novillo looks and feels more Oem. matte with the Leatherique Rejuvenator oil only.
