I get to park mine outside because the neighbor whose water heater is above my garage leaked AGAIN! And somehow, despite this being the second time this has happened since we moved in and me rarely driving the car, the M3 was not in the garage when the leak happened. First time I chose to drive it to work and this time we decided to take it to dinner last night. Somethingsomething silver lining somethingsomething...

This is really expediting our decision to build this house

Replaced the piece of shit plastic skid plate again, this time on the passenger side. I still can't believe they made it out of cardboard. And the price at the dealer went up about 20%

The standard battery failing/low voltage indicator is a dashboard that lights up like a Christmas tree. Glad you got it sorted. Much nicer weather this weekend than M-W. Ugh.

Thanks! It's a Milwaukee M18 LED work light. It's an older model and only works with the 18-volt battery, but the newer ones work with a battery and regular 110V power. I absolutely love the light even without the 110V option. They are so fast to set up and put away.

00B23 - Idle Actuator Bank 1

There were some secondary codes for limp mode, cruise control etc.

Just drove from San Diego to LA and back and still running perfectly!

Drove up a mountain pretty fast.
Drove down a mountain too fast that my ears couldn't adjust to pressure change which gave me a headache now.
Dealt with a shitty border agent too. Threatened to take away my Nexus even though he said I was free to go. Then says I'm not done with inspection. Eat my dick.

Anyways. Enjoying the car vs a few months ago during the colder season when I debated selling the car

I recommend getting a CTEK MXS 5.0 charger if you don't already have a charger. $90 and you can pick one up at FCPEuro. Keeps your battery happy, has a recondition function, and it does AGM batteries too.

Btw, as follow-on to my last message for anyone's future benefit I ended up getting the NOCO Genius G7200 for $99 on Amazon. Seems like more or less the same thing as the product you called out at a similar price point. So far have charged my dead e46 battery and then the e92 one. So far so good.

Just came in from Ukraine. New wheel for ~$400 for DCT wheel ($300 for 6MT) picked it up off eBay. (Yes, I did not want alcantara.) Insanely well-packaged too:

This is next on my list. Need to figure out how pre-LCI installation differs for my '08. My left halos just went out.

A day of DIY maintenance over the weekend.

1. Clutch fluid flush with Castrol SRF

2. Cleaned and re-oiled BMC air filter. What a mess the piling process is!

3. Manual tranny fluid flush with Redline MTF. Best the car has ever shifted!

4. Power steering fluid flush and new PS reservoir/filter

Are you using a friend or are you using a vacuum or similar? I was about to purchase the fluids for all you've mentioned above and do the same. I swear every time I try the solo gigs for the brakes I leave air in the lines.

I have a Motive Power Bleeder that I've been using. It works great so far, I was even able to bleed the clutch with it.

The key for me was to also use a rubber mallet to tap the calipers to help release any trapped air while bleeding.

Every time I see one of these posted I have the urge to buy one. Which eBay vendor did you use? Do you find the indents and D shape more comfortable than OEM?

Also, I'd recommend a turkey baster to pull out the old fluid in the MC and PS reservoirs

I thought the 2008 and 2009 M3s have the same headlight/halo units.
