Do ST Gobain or PPG make M3 glass? My windshield has a crack and is gonna need replacement at one point in time. I'm not sure if I wanna go back to the soft Pilkington glass again.

not sure if PPG does (I would assume they do as an aftermarket replacement piece) but Saint-Gobain definitely does, Safelite at least carries it in my area

Same here, can hardly see the outside world in sun - after 15k miles...never had this level sandblast on any other car during 25 years...!
Edit: Checked with two different car glass shops, neither understood what I meant asking for harder/better glass but said "they are all the same". Last edited by Helmsman; 06-25-2014 at 02:16 PM.. |

I had to replace the windshield in my 2008 due to a crack from a rock on the highway. I went with a $200 piece of glass which looked fine but I was in the process of selling the car so I can't really give a long term review of it.
