2011 ZCP Performance Center!

I started avoiding the forums the closer I got to taking delivery. All of the threads with everyone getting their new rides was making me sick with envy, but here's mine. One of the rare single-humps, and I couldn't be more proud. Cheers guys, it was a long Iraq deployment. Dad and I are having a father-son road trip to Virginia and we've got 373 miles in the bag already.

Donny, if you see this, I couldn't be more happy with my experience. BTW, he was my instructor for the performance center delivery and was so accommodating with my dad getting him wheel time. I had missed a flight connection due to weather and got stranded the night before (hence the frumpy look in the pics), but he got my dad a ton of wheel time while they waited.

Guys, they even TRACKED MY FLIGHT DELAYS and when I finally came in 3 hours late, Donny grabs a black M3 vert to PICK ME UP AT THE AIRPORT. We took delivery of the car (in the coveted lobby spot), had a delicious lunch, then thrashed the track. Donny let me drive until I was soaked in sweat from all the laps. He even worked me in between the laps a corporate event was taking that day.

So. Much. Adrenaline.

After the plant/museum tour, we were encouraged to take our new cars (my M3 and two X5's) in front of the plant for pics and...okay showing off. I was the only M3 for the day, so it got a LOT of long stares and "Ah hell yeahs."

If you have the means to do this, DO it. You're paying for it in your destination charge and the travel to get there is made up through the value of the experience. Donny even provided a recommended route to take through the SC and NC back-roads to get to where we wanted to go.

Cheers, gents.

Congrats... sounds like fun.

I have a single hump in my 335. Love the simple look, but the 6FL interface drives me mad.

Hey congrats J-9, a long time coming. Looks beautiful and you were lucky to have the car delivered at the PC!! I'm hoping BMW will let me drive mine down there some day for some "play time".

Stay safe with it (I guess you'd know about that sort of thing) and have fun.

Very nice...love the wheels with that combo....great report also. I still have to plan out the PCD portion of my ED but really like hearing the reviews from others. Sounds like a hoot.

These posts are killing me.

Congrats. I was down there 3 weeks ago picking mine up and had a great experience. Super nice group of people at the Performance Center. I would highly recommend PCD to anyone considering it.

Congrats on the car and more importantly making it home safe.
I was at PDC on May 18th and had Donny. He took us on a lap in an M5 with the DSC turned off. It got really fun when he spun the car and entered the skid pad backwards doing about 50-60 mph. My girlfriend video taped it from the back seat and one of these days when I figure out how to post a video on here and I will put it up for all to enjoy. The PDC is a must if at all possible.
