6FL in a 2011 question

I'm picking up my 2011 E92 on Tuesday. It has Nav (and upgraded audio system). It's been a few years since I had an E92, do they still need the 6FL cable? I thought I read somewhere that the standard iPhone USB cable was all that was needed now.

We need to know the build date. Cars built starting in Sept 2010 (the infamous 2011.5 model) came with the combox and use the white USB cable. Pre-Sept 2010 cars use the "Y" cable...

I'm not sure what the exact build date is (June 2011 maybe), but it does have the combox.

Thanks!

If you provide your vehicle's VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) we will be able to check your vehicle's configuration and let you know what you will need for iPhone/iPod integration.
You can provide your VIN by PM or email info@bimmerretrofit.com

Thank you!

Thank you Olga. I created an account with my VIN at bmwusa.com. And it listed all the options for my car.
