If you are asking what I did with the cigarette lighter, I unplugged it from the console and removed it when I removed the ash tray unit. I may try to remove the entire lighter assembly from the ashtray and plug it back in if I can find a place to put the lighter that is out of the way, perhaps in the glove box or the passenger footwell.

That's some serious plumbing there for the fire suppression system for your building. It'll be an interesting day for your M if the FD has to connect in your parking spot.

I have the original MTM cannon that I've moved to other duties (about 5-6 years old and still great) and a I bought a PF22 for foaming. The PF22 is a step up but it's nuanced and incremental.

TLDR:
If you want to drop ~$120 on the best, go for the PF22 (I recommend buying from Obsessed Garage because he sets it up for you to his spec which is the best for most power washers). Otherwise save your coin and spend $20-$35 on a setup on Amazon (TriNova or MATCC).

what kind of pressure washer do you guys have?
i just assumed you can attach a foam cannon to a garden hose but i guess that's not how it works?

I bought that amazon one (MTCC), and paired it with the uncommonly high water pressure from my water line, and it does a reasonable job foaming. Not bad for the price.

I have gone through a few pressure washers, so after the last one I just decided to go cheap and functional and this one has been just fine for me. Using the right technique and surface products, it should be fine. I just stick that foam cannon on the end of the pressure washer gun where the normal nossel goes, super easy and saves a lot of time.

Parked in a parkade - always a hateful task.

On the bright side, the attendant asked if my M3 was actually a competition model (which it is) and he also knew exactly what my licence plate was.

Made the doode smile with the loud pedal as I left too.

So, a good experience overall!!

Cheers,

More undoing on my car. Removed the red IND start button and put the OE black one back in. Red M button goes next!

These AGMs don’t seem to last... Walmart has them cheapest and they come with a 5 year warranty.

after the 1.5 days hooked up to charger at home, the clock seems to be staying on time
it has been 2 days

if it does it again, i will probably get a replacement battery from FCP Euro
free replacement for life, right?

My FiL, a lifetime mechanic, calls the Walmart Everstart batteries "Never"-start's.

So many people come in needing a new battery often apparently.

Ceramic coated my wheels with Adams.. I'm sick of brake dust, hopefully it helps at least with washing the barrels when the wheels are on the car..

Then I got carried away ceramic coating some other shit around the house..

I think this depends on the battery type. The AGM 900CCA that they sell is made in Germany which makes me think it’s manufactured as a private label battery from a reputable manufacturer. It looks nearly identical to higher end batteries.

The FCP Euro route feels unethical for consumable items but that’s just me.

well it ends up my M3 has the passenger footwell socket for a cigarette lighter (no actual lighter in it, just empty, I assume because my car came with the smoker's package). So I may go back in and see if it is easy to plug back in the cigarette lighter from the ashtray, and route it down to that location. Not sure the wire is even long enough.

Disappointing that the one in the center armrest can't charge a modern phone, though I wonder if that is true for all current phones.

After a year and a half, I finally got pulled over for no front plate, required in VA. I think the young officer wanted to check out the car. I told him I just ordered new plates, which I had done. No citation. A mock-up of the plates, to arrive shortly:
