Replaced The ICV - Still Going Into Limp Mode

I was consistently getting an 002B0D code and going into limp mode on startup. Logical explanation, was that it was the ICV, as the specifics of the code were:

"Idle speed control monitoring Bank 1"

I had my local BMW shop replace the ICV, idle strips and all seals (to a very hefty price) and the issue keeps coming up.

The strange thing is, if I let the car idle until a decent running temp (as in, completes cold start and idles for a few minutes more), shut the car down/clear code and then restart the car while the engine is warm...the car drives completely normal and throws no codes.

I'm at a loss. My mechanic thinks it's something to do with the tune. I think that's weird, as does my tuner...but, who knows?

Engine mods as follows, and it's on a 26k mile car (already ruled out the TA):

ESS 650VT2
BPM Sport Tuned accordingly
Active Autowerke Test Pipes/X pipe (NO cats)
Eisenmann Race Exhaust

Upon diagnosis, my mechanic was monitoring too much air in Bank 1. He reseated all of the manifold boots to make sure it was nothing to do with that.

Any help would be awesome, as the car is just sitting there with a few people scratching their heads.

Have you leak-tested it to look for potential cracks?

It's still at the shop.

I don't think he's done that yet...you're talking about the manifold, yeah?
