I installed it but I cannot prove it because for the coronavirus only the cars can be used for special cases and with authorization in my country.

If that option didn't work, I'm going to end up coding the car with the option they passed

This also did not fix (for me at least) they did this testing with me and few others having similar problem. This surely fixed the voltage problem on KCAN line but with certain ZBE module the KCAN error still remains for which module coding is needed!

I look forward to testing the car! but I can not
when you coding you put the zbe module did you connect it as it came from the factory or did you coding it without disconnecting the carplay?
my car is also LCI

No need to disconnect anything.

Use NCSExpert and read ZBE and dump .trc file and change the values mentioned above using BMW coding tool or NCS Dummy, save the .trc as .man and load the .man back to ZBE.

If you have K+DCAN or ICOM, I can code it remotely for you.

Pairing via Bluetooth is works but WI-FI ask password...

You don't need to put any password for WIFI (refer to manual below).

If you have changed the phone you may want to reset the settings or try "forget WIFI option" in your old Iphone and then start the pairing process with new Iphone.

I tried this on the screen like this: CarPlay Connected!
But after step 14. nothing happens.
CarPlay is not available.

CarPlay is not available.
1. Try wired carplay just to make sure the device is working properly. Connect the Iphone C type to the USB port of carplay, Disable the WIFI and see if it works!

2. Try a soft reset by pressing the reset button on the device

3. Update the carplay software SDK version (Last Resort, this will act like a hard reset)

It is works?
You need to use USB port to connect your phone to mirror it on the Idrive screen. As the name suggest what is on your phone gets mirrored in your car display, particular handy if you wish to watch movies or videos on your idrive screen using Iphone. You can still receive Phone, play music as before, just that its more wired than wireless, positive side is phone gets charged as USB is plugged in.

Disconnect WIFI and connect your device to USB using apple C type cable
Go to
Settings > SmartPhone > Apple Devices ----- follow the steps thereon.

I just installed the kremersino Bluetooth combox carplay but Waze and maps has no sound, music works through Bluetooth perfectly. Iv seen guys on here who's are saying Waze and maps sounds work. Any help appreciated

I personally have Joyeauto, where sound is pretty much driven through AUX, so not sure if its same as Kremersino (though both of these have same IDCORE hardware).

I have set my Carplay to have all music routed through Bluetooth since I have a combox setup, purely for better music quality. All works well except turn by turn instruction from Waze and Google Map, for which I need to connect AUX and select AUX as my setup in the CIC screen.

So make sure you have selected AUX in the Idrive (CD/Multimedia->External Devices->Aux)...(and be ready to compromise a bit of sound quality if you are an Audiophile)

They're supposedly working on a software update to address these issues, but its been delayed due to covid-19 (per Michael at Kremersino). I'll ping him again to see if there's been any progress made yet.

Update: On Sunday, Michael responded and said "Yes, there is new software available" and that he'd e-mail it to me once he got back into the office the next day. Three days later, nothing. I've followed up with him again and this morning (Wednesday) he said he has to "check with colleague".. so at this point I'm not sure if there really is an update available. I'll keep following up.

Haven't been driving much lately but it would still be nice to get the audio switching issues ironed out.

I just asked if there was an update yesterday night and Michael replied with the same thing but I have not seen the update come through yet. I just gave him my email again to make sure it was just a fluke. We will see if he sends it tonight.
