Canada to U.S. Import Broker & Transporter Recommendations?
Hey everyone!
I have found a Canadian spec car that I'm interested in importing to the U.S. I'm not too concerned about paperwork in getting it into the U.S. and I'd be fine with going through the process myself. But due to COVID and borders being closed to "leisure" travel, I have to work with a broker and a transporter to get things squared away. The car would end up in South Dakota so ideally I'd PREFER someone familiar with the Saskatchewan or Manitoba provinces and the more central border crossings. But, I'd take any suggestions or recommendations I can get. Let me know if you know anyone. Thanks everyone. |

I shipped my E39 M5 to Houston a few months ago, we used Cole International as the broker. They should have a branch/agent on border crossings of your choice.
You've probably already learned that because you are shipping during COVID times, the car must be imported as commercial goods so it is going to incur a 2.5% duty charge. It all starts to add up pretty quickly. |

Thank you for this. Yes, completely aware of the duties and typical broker fees. But I do have another question for you. PM coming your way.
