I totally agree with getting what you paid for and it does suck to spend 3k and not have a clean install. I would be unhappy too. |

The old style connectors still work, I had no issues for a clean install either. I just re-routed some of the wiring closer towards the headlight assembly and tied it out of the way there.

Received my B16s about a week ago. I also got the annoying connectors that require keeping the large stock cap plug from the OEM shocks.
I emailed bilstein and this was their response: "Thank you for purchasing our products. Unfortunately these older style connectors are no longer available. The kit #49-237108 will need to be installed per our updated installation instructions which can be seen here: https://productdesk.cart.bilsteinus.com//media/products/bilstein/E4-WM4-Y611A00.pdf" So, it sounds like they are now calling the good connectors the "old" style and these small ones have replaced them again. I asked if I could buy a pair of the current style ones from them, in hopes of making an adapter myself, but they said they are only available in the kit. So hopefully I never break one of the wires. |

How would one know if they got a new kit or old one? And what does the new smaller ones look like? |

If anyone is brave enough to cut up their bilstein adapter, you can buy the EDC plugs on ebay. I'm not sure I want to take the gamble since bilstein refused to sell me a spare wire from the kit when I asked. |

I might try taking the 90 degree elbow off of the stock connector, cut off the large boot, and wrap the connector with heat shrink tubing. That should make it a lot less bulky. I'll post pics here after I do it. |

Also FYI everyone... rockauto has the B16 damptronic kit for $2808 right now. I ended up getting Carid.com to price match it since they had no sales tax in my state (Unlike RA). Took about a week to get it.

I have seen a couple people mention inner clearance issues with these coil overs, could anyone confirm if I will need a spacer running 18x10+25 with 265/35/18 tires up front?

I run Apex EC7 18x10 +25 with Federal RS-PRO 265/35r18 (which are almost as wide as a 275) on the front and I do not rub on the B16 coilovers. Only a very slight rub on the fender liner a while ago but it wore itself down enough that its no longer an issue. |

Can anyone confirm the correct Bilstein part number for the B16 kit that will fit E92 and E93, and click into the EDC wiring?
Is it 49-237108 ? |

They have a lifetime warranty from bilstein, not sure if they would cover coilovers needing a rebuild.... maybe if it happened in a short period of time that would not be considered "normal wear" https://www.offroadwarehouse.com/fil...mewarranty.pdf |

It's a one-time use code that expires next month. If you seriously want to use it, I can PM it to you.
Edit: Code looks to be unlimited use but has expiration date. Code: 164551622150356786 expires 4/11/21 Code: 165214091147594418 expires 4/18/21 Code: 166219844150356786 expires 5/2/21 |

I just bought a used M3 that already has Ground Control camber plates installed on the OEM front struts. I'm looking to replace the stock suspension with the B16s. Can anyone confirm if my camber plates can be reused with the B16 struts as-is? No additional parts needed?
Also, how is inner wheel/tire clearance with the B16s? Would there be less clearance with these than the OEM struts/springs? Or about the same clearance as OEM? |
