200 MPH (ESS Tune/ACM Test pipes)

Today a few of my buddies went to the Nurburgring and it was nothng but open road and no traffic so we just pegged them out. I snapped a quick Iphone pic bc thats all I could do at the time, but theres no proof without a pic right? sorry for the blur It blows my mind what test pipes and a tune can do..ill post my laps at a later time

Also crazy thing is that my buddy had a supercharged 5.0 that just kept pulling on me while doing this

Now you're going to get it bro, but in all seriousness, I've never really seen the S/C legions berate someone who didn't go S/C yet

I agree with you though about the track thing, the car is already at amazing levels for that purpose. BBK is always a good option, but wouldn't you be good with some race pads, SS lines, and upgraded fluid?

Recommend PFC-01s for max stopping power, great pads, but they clackle, rattle, and squeal like good track dedicated pads should PFC-08s last you longer and can come with anti-rattle clips too.

If it's still not enough, no harm done, you can always upgrade. Price of new pads on a BBK or the stockers are the same pretty much...

It's a little unbelievable to me that these cars can hit 200. Growing up in the 80s, that was the cutoff for hypercar performance. The f40 topped out at 201! Mentioning the f40 in the same sentence as this car is surreal to me.

(Don't bother mentioning that the f40 slays the m3, b/c I already agree)

Regardless - amazing stuff, if the speed is accurate.

Indicated 200, no doubt impressive but would love to see a real, GPS-based (or other non-speedo measure) speed for this run and the other thread. Downhill (a lot) plus a tail wind (a strong one) maybe...

Exactly.

You were going in the range of 190-195 mph. Those numbers are consistent with a 3-4% speedo overage and about 35-40 hp over stock. You just do not have the power to hit 200. Have a look here for a useful formula.

You should mount your GoPro like me and record a run, that is the best in my opinion! You and I going 200 side by side would be something to see as well.

Good stuff buddy! Wish I was there to see because we would have had a fun day at the Ring afterwards.

Granted haven't been that fast but my speedo at 160 mph is off less than 5mph as compared with my VBox. At 80 mph I'm off 1.5 mph. So I would think OP that you are somewhere in the 191-194 mph range...which is awesome.

Would love to see a GPS run - get some validated numbers. Validated 200MPH in a 3700 lb car with this motor almost doesn't make sense.
