Secondary Air (SAP) Delete - TUNE

Has anyone successfully deleted the SAP using a tune and able to get a readiness monitor for emissions purposes?

I didn't think it was possible but for a PM from someone saying it is. For anyone who did a SAP delete tune (regardless of reason), can you share your experience and whether or not your monitor for SAP ever set to READY?

Thanks!

Are you referring to SAI (Secondary Air Injection)? Yes, it can be tuned out as far as I know.

LOL that's my thread. I've switched my tune a few times and currently back to SAI/SAP delete tune.

Tuning it out is one thing, getting an ODBC readiness monitor for secondary air while SAP delete is active is another. Looking for more success stories.

What you are asking for is illegal. Don't expect anyone to respond.

Actually very few tuners will simulate 02 readiness for cats delete because it is illegal and the fines are high. They will turn off the CEL for them, but that is different from doing something to falsely create a readiness monitor.

Those products are for off road use only and do not temper with the ecu to fake a reading. There is a much higher fine and crack down for that.

SAP delete

I had to create an account to reach out to you about this, but my account needs to be 7 days old to PM you. Would you mind sharing how you managed a work around for SAP delete?
