Increased Emissions P2402

Hi, does anybody know what this code is exactly related to? My code reader says "EVAP System Leak Detection Pump Control Circuit High". Saw a youtube video for a replacement of a charcoal canister and apparently that will take care of it.

Before I tackle the issue and start throwing parts at it wanted to check if anyone has had this code and how it was fixed?

My E46 had this problem. It was the leakage diagnostic pump went bad. This is a small pump that pressurizes the fuel system to check for leaks. This is the sound you hear when you turn off your car and hear something running some time. Not sure how had it is to fix.

Thanks a lot. It was indeed the pump. Found a video on YouTube of a e92 w same issue which confirmed it. Easy fix. Got the bosch part from ecs tunning for about $50, oem is double that and on that note part that I took of the car is also bosch brand and identical to the replacement.

Error code U1118

Hello Yugo

I'm also getting the check engine light "Increase Emotion" on my 2011 M3 coupe E92, my question is your error message was P2402, my error is U1118 same "Increase Emotion". I'm wondering if I shoud replace the part like you did on your M3. On the forum I'm reading battery replacement for error U1118. Any other suggestions.

Thanks
