So after I dropped off the car at 9 am yesterday at the shop, I picked her up around 6pm. I got there still in time to snap some pics while it was on the lift as they finished the final touches. BTW shout out to Farley at EuroTech Motorsports in Natick MA. That guy is the best around; fair prices, trust worthy, and reliable.

So within 30 mins, everything was done. And ready! First reaction inside the shop w the valves open and I was standing behind the car (took short video I'll try and post later). WTF This shit LOUD!!!!!! I had to close my ears in there! Wow. Sounded amazing but loud. TOO loud. We took a quick spin (Farley driving) and all I'm thinking it is Loud but exotic at low speed. But I'm also thinking this thing is too loud for me.

Then I drove the car both city and highway to get home for about 1 hr. Again thinking holy shit this ish is loud specially after 5k rpm and I may need to put back stock xpipe or get HFC.

At some point during highway driving I turned the valve off (through remote - can also do via app that I've yet to download or manually w a module that installed inside the cabin). I was like wow this thing sounds stock now (Maybe a little louder). I was pretty pleased w that for sure lol. My head was almost hurting after that loud mode. Then it dawned on me; wow this exhaust is cool and it's what I wanted. So I drove the rest of the highway in quiet mode and opened up again as I exited into the city streets. I thought wow this is amazing!!!!! It sounds very exotic yet deep up until around 4K rpm in the city. And luv it around that range. It's the 5k and above that I'm not sure yet...we shall see whether I'll change the xpipe or not... in the mean time Alex's alpine tune arrives tomorrow.

Btw the car definitely gained noticeable power particularly in the lower rpm (again that's mostly where I stayed lol). And Finally, the tips of the exhaust is clearly beautiful might be my favorite part of it. Just sexy!!! More on this thing later... GYM time lol

Looks sick! Which rear diffuser and rear trunk? If I keep mine more than 3 years, I'm considering the ultimAte mod: Full carbon fiber roof from iND! The ideas we have lol

Thats the Challenge trunk and Diffuser, I know IND just started re making the challenge parts, hit them up! best trunk for that car.

thanks... how aggressive does that diffuser stick out? I want the arkym style front lip, which is isn't very aggressive so I wanna make sure its all symmetrical. I like how they don't have a lot of fins (not sure if that's what they are called in the middle like many others? They are a bit expensive lol... know any company making replicas? same thing with that trunk too expensive.

Wow. Poetic justice!! I've seen pics of your car before. Didn't know u had THE roof lol. Any shots of the roof? Did the change come out ok? Any difference in the car's handling and feel? I how much was the installation? I want your car lol. I want your mods so bad. The roof and trunk are definitely a must. What side skirts do you have? And which wheels are those?

I think MR fits the E90 and shows it's lines beautifully. Not usually a fan of black wheels but on MR they look great

Time for a quick update! So I decided to change my exhaust up a bit. Didn't think it was possible but decided my fullcatless FI exhaust was too loud but more importantly the smell was unbearable. So I decided to install a turner test pipe paired with oem xpipe and the FI muffler. The good news is the smell went away, but the bad news is now the exhaust is too damn quiet . If the full FI was a 12, the set up with test pipe is a 5. Sounds like a sport exhaust....I need like 9. lol so the hunt continues. Stay tuned for the more on the quest for the perfect exhaust lol. Next I will be sitting to a HFC xpipe. That should do it.


In other news I changed the spark plugs on the car today as well. Feels good to take care of some maintenance as well.

New Years update: I am at somewhat of a fork in the road situation now with the build: thinking I might want a supercharger but can't decide which kit; thinking I want change the exhaust but don't know to what lol.. by the way, I ended up pairing the FI muffler with AFE hfc xpipe but I'm not happy with that either. I now have the full system for sale. For a bit of good news, rod bearings is next (parts ordered today)

Oh yea, I forgot. These arrived a couple days ago. SDC F14s for the win!!!! Still in the boxes. I'll post better pics once they are unboxed.s

SOO MUCH MORE COMING THIS SPRING... CAN'T WAIT! STAY TUNED.....

Thank you. None, except I wish I had taken dct to the track. But 6mt better choice for me.

Thanks man. Yes, MR is a very special in 4 doors. I bought the car sight unseen; so I was a little scared at first but it's an amazing color. I just had one a full ceramic coating (plus clear bra) so it's fresh and shining now! I am very happy with it. I might have to finally pay someone to take professional pics of it soon. Btw, your build inspires me to keep mine going.
