Hit 700 miles - two questions

I am at 700 miles. Two questions/ issues I'd like other opinion on.

The crackling windshield / dashboard. I had this on my previous 335i. It's like paper or thin plastic being crumbled. It's hard to pinpoint. Could be the windshield frame or the air outlets. Anybody else has this?

The other issue is with the dsg. It was smooth as butter the first few weeks. Now it's getting jerkier every week. I also hear much more clanging noises. In addition when I back out of a garage etc and put it in drive it sometimes taker 1-2 seconds for first to engage and then the car lunches forward. Normal?

My DCT also got a little rougher as I put the miles on. Very slight, but I can feel it upshift more in S5/6 with 3k on the clock. I consider this normal as the transmission is just getting broken in. As for the latter issue, going from R->N->1 is pretty slow. Going from N->1st normaly takes about 1-2 seconds (compared to 6mt, putting it into first is SLOW) and when you throw R in there, it's even slower. If you're on the gas before 1st gear is fully engaged, you will lurch forward as the car gets a sudden blast of power right as the gear connects.

Your car is perfectly normal; although I can't comment on the windshield issue.

i have these crackling plastic noises you describe more so from the right rear seat area of the coupe...could be an entirely different place though because of acoustics bouncing off and im hearing it from somewhere that its not.....a few here sometimes from the dash area as well when traveling over bumpy roads....These interior noises just blow my mind....Last night the wife and I testdrove a 328i coupe for her and the thing was as quiet as DEATH going over the same shitty bumpy roads...i do not understand why BMW built the inside of the M way more shitty and cheaply than the base model 328...for me, this is the most disappointing aspect of the car....so for the noises, id say they are normal.

As for the Reverse gear lag, i dont get this at all...shifts the moment i put it in...no slower or faster than my other automatic cars

The crackling noise is definitely from the front. It's either the windshield frame or comes from the vents. It's really hard to pinpoint but quite annoying.
It started on my 335i around 8000 miles and never went away. I also had a rattle in the idrive screen on my 335i It was stronger in warmer weather The M3 only took 500 miles for it to show.

Got 6mt so can't comment on lag but no problem. In reference to noise none on 3k miles. Take it in
