When you go to 292/292 you need to measure as things are getting close...

VANOS delete is not an option for a street/stock DME car and we would never recommend it.

So Mike I take it really will be all about tuning the car properly for the cams and extra cubes on a street car as long as you don't go above the 284 Schrick cams. I see why you guys may not want to go down this alley. You guys build race engines, you start modding street cars then everyone starts complaining about drive-ability. More headaches for you guys.

Good tuning is not a problem at all for a street 4.4L with 284 cams :-)

We built a sleeved n/a 4.4L 24H endurance engine that could have been a great street engine...

I'm pretty sure we are set for the rematch this coming Saturday (Feb-15). I have tentative confirmation with the dyno shop. I just need to call and finalize it Monday or Tuesday. I will send you a PM to give you the details.

Any other Northern California locals who want to dyno can send me a PM. We have limited space, but can probably add 2-3 more people.

Edit: JBook, it looks like you have PM's turned off. So PM me, or somehow let me know if you can make it.

Thanks for getting everything set! I'll await the details, but I have also been in contact with Aleks about it. Once you confirm, I will see you there!

It would be great if you guys could datalog intake air temperature, oil temperature and especially coolant temperature (since these are so sensitive to coolant temp esp), so that if one result is an outlier (good or bad), at least some of the main variables in "allowed" performance by the ECU can be inspected...

I already measure and publish all of that data as part of my normal dyno sessions. I plan to do the same for this rematch as well.
