What are these?

What are these plastic loop type things on the rear shelf? Never seen them on any BMW before.

Not far off.

Aren't they the LATCH attachment points for car seats?

They don't look like LATCH points. Maybe BMW is trying to be different.

I think those are indeed top tether attachment points for a forward facing child seat. I guess the manual would be the best place to go for final word.

I think for the child restraint fixing system.

OK. I would assume it's got something to do with having no middle seat. I chose the child ISOFIX attachment for the front seat so I think you get it as part of that option.

On a slightly related note how about the strange little folding hook on the "ceiling" of the trunk that looks a bit like a clothes hangar hook. Been quite puzzled by this little doo dad.

The one on the right? If so this is commonly known as a 'curry hook' here in the UK. It's for hanging your takeaway food on in it's plastic bag so it doesnt spill out in your boot/cockpit.

Nope, right on the "roof" of the trunk a bit left of center, as far back on the "roof" of the trunk as you can get, right by the seal.

It's not the holder for the warning triangle is it?

Just had a look. Not the curry hook and not for the triangle. WTF is it?

Think your talking about the trunks emergency release. You can pull this from inside the trunk to open it.

When I took delivery I asked the same question, it's actually to latch the floor of the trunk to the roof of the trunk when you are accessing the m mobility kit, so you can remove it without holding it up with your hands.

It's the emergency trunk release. It's not for hanging Green Curry, or anything else for that matter.

The hook on the rear deck are for child car seats. I just installed my Recaro child seat and the mounting points in this car are nicely placed and easily accessible.

Oooooh hark at Mr Handbag. There is a curry hook on the right hand side of the boot which, based on the original description, it could well have been what was being described, 'for that matter'.
