“Mike Miller” Maintenance Spreadsheet

I have always maintained my cars based on an “old school” maintenance schedule. I have yet to own a vehicle that wasn’t in tip top shape up to 120k miles (and a few up to 250k miles). For BMW’s that means the Mike Miller guideline, rather than CBS. I read his most updated guide and made a spreadsheet to take my “new-to-me” E90M up to 120k. I referenced part numbers and parts costs as well. Attached is an image and I’d be happy share the excel document with anyone else who like to detail their records like this (PM me). Please refrain from telling me how I’m maintaining my car incorrectly

Put the template in Google Docs or OneDrive and then provide the shareable link so people can copy it.

Would someone be able to do a conversion of everything to CAD, plus a place to order from a Canadian Site?

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

Currency exchange rate on there is as of October 9th, 2017.

Last edited by ItsGary; 10-09-2017 at 11:36 PM.. Reason: I did a conversion only.

And people wonder why cars in JP (domestic and import all together) are generally in good shape after years of usage. We have Mike Miller like maintenance schedule as standard for sha-ken (車検 or compulsory vehicle inspection)that is due every two years. Engine oils seldom get changed over 5,000km (I change around 3,000km or once after a track day) with brake/diff/tranny oils around 10,000km depending on usage. It is also the reason why 90% of people use public transportation for daily commute.

Would make sense, plus if you have aftermarket bearings that were changed around the 60k mark it would do everyone a huge favor and have them pulled to see what they look like

Very true, I put my WPC in at 101,000 and im at 110,000 now. I should roll through the mileage and be able to pull them at 160,000 no issue. should be there in 1.5 years

I just got called from the garage about my bearings, they’re doing the measurements and stuff right now, though they called me to tell my my right wheel won’t come off and they don’t wanna break the bolts lol

I think I’ll probbaly be doing 12k miles/year

WPC, the shop knows what they're doing but the shop that had my car after my accident did not.

ahhh gotcha that's a relief. Good to hear your going with WPC! sounds like whoever put your wheels on went by the torque spec as long as the impact gun keeps going!

sadly dont really know what to do in the situation. its an unjustified cost that i really shouldnt have to pay for but its gonna most likely come out of my pocket.

yea hopefully they don't destroy your wheels drilling them out. that plus a potential new hub can get pricey. good luck brother!
